Gina K Preview Day 4

Hello! Tonight is the final preview night for the new Gina K Designs release. The design team is using Heartily Yours (by Nina), Heartily Yours Addition (by Nina) and Love Notes.

For my first card, I used Heartily Yours to create a valentine:
I wanted to use the little bee image from the set and I thought it would look cute if the bee was dropping the heart in to the hive. So I cut some strips of yellow cardstock and inked the edges to resemble a hive. Then I stamped the image right on top and stamped it again on white cardstock so I could pop the second bee on top of the first for some flying dimension.

The button is part of the new button pack that will be released on Thursday. I also used some October Afternoon-Report Card designer paper in the background.

Materials used: Stamps- Heartily Yours (Gina K Designs); Memento tuxedo black ink; Copic Markers; cardstock-white, onyx (Gina K Designs); button (Gina K Designs); designer paper- Report Card (October Afternoon); corner rounder punch (Creative Memories); paper piercing tool.

The second card features Heartily Yours along with the Heartily Yours Addition (which includes lots more year-round sentiments to make this set even more versatile!):

To illustrate this versatility, I chose the cute bug to create a "thinking of you" card. Designer paper on this card is October Afternoon- Road Map and Farm Fresh.

I used some more of the soon-to be-released buttons to accent the wheels. I created a sun to help draw your attention down to the sentiment, that I inked with two different colors to draw your eye to the important words.

Materials used: Stamps-car, Heartily Yours (Gina K Designs), sentiment, Heartily Yours Addition (Gina K Designs); Memento tuxedo black ink; Copic markers; Stampin' Up black and orange marker; cardstock-white, ivory (Gina K Designs); designer paper- Road Map (October Afternoon), Farm Fresh (October Afternoon); buttons (Gina K Designs); label punch, circle punch (SU!); ribbon (SU!); twill (SU!); corner rounder punch.

Very neat cards. . .So do you envision the card first and then make it, or do you just go to work and it all just comes together?
