Thank you so much for wholeheartedly embracing the Heart to Heart Challenge. I am only quickly posting to ask for some prayers. Our friends Christine and Caedmon lost their daughter, Anna, this morning. She was only 13 months old. This is such a sad time....so forgive me if I take awhile to respond to questions or comments. Please know that I will read every post.
Please keep them in your prayers.

So sorry to hear this news. They say it is much harder to lose a child than it is to lose a spouse. My heart goes out to them (and you) and I pray you will be able to be a comfort to them in their time of need.

ReplyDeleteI lost my son in April of this year. He was 44 and as I have always told my children - "I am always going to be your mother, I can't help it." No matter how old your chilren are it is the worst pain you can bear. We don't know what happened, his wife was working and I took him to the ER. He was admitted for dehydration. Two days later at midnight he "crashed" was code blue for 20 min. We tried life support but had to let him go three days later. It is absolutely true when they say you think of them everyday of the year. I'm sorry to burden you with this but it is cathartic for me to tell someone. Please pass my deepest sympathies to your friends for their loss. Tell them there is someone who understands their pain.

ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry that your friends are going through this. I've lost two newborns (one at 2 days and one at 15 days of age). That was 11 years ago and not a day goes by that I'm still not affected by the loss. The pain lessens with time but it's always there. I really am so sorry that this has happened.

I am amazed at the peace that is apparent in their posts, even so soon after her passing, and I'm grateful that such peace is exactly what He promises. God continue to be with them.

I've sent up a few prayers for this family. It just breaks my heart but the Lord knows the first and last days of our lives and He will get them through this. Also, Happy Birthday yesterday to your Grandma. It may have been a bitter-sweet day, but I hope you were able to smile and remember her happily.
