    What a cute idea! Maybe I'm too practical here but how do you sharpen the pencil with all that twine wrapped around it? LOL!

    lol! Donna...you sharpen it FIRST! When you need to resharpen---just unwind the bottom part of the twine just a little and then sharpen and cut the twine to the height you need. PS--I am practical too!
