We had SNOW yesterday in central Texas. The schools closed for the less-than-an-inch accumulation and the kids had a blast sledding, tubing and just playing in the white stuff they never get to see!
Sadly, it is pretty much gone today. Here is one of my favorite pictures:
Lauren sledding with a neighbor. I love the look of joy on her face.

Have a wonderful day!
Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Great candy, Carolyn! It's been extremely rainy here in Southwest GA. The temps have been in the 40's, so I can't complain :D

  5. well cammie, I live in the Dominican Republic, a small island in the caribbean, where is summer all year long. It was a little colder yesterday at 25 degrees celsius, we have no winter, unless you go to the mountains where it could go to 8 degrees celsius, but thats up in the mountains and in winter. If I wanted I could be at the beach right now.

  8. We are waiting for another storm to hit later today but this one will have mostly rain. Hopefully it will melt some of the snow before the other 2 storms hit us next week. I have named this year "The Winter from Hell". Where is Spring??? Thanks for the chance!

  9. Good morning Cammie, In Oregon we are usually buried under snow, but somehow have escaped all that this year and enjoying 55° here all week...amazing!

  12. What awesome blog candy! Hmm, weather in my area? Well, it's cloudy (normal PA skies!), and we are expecting the "S" word along w/ ice later today! YAY! NOT! ;) I wish I was in TX with you so I wouldn't have to SEE or FEEL this cold weather! Well, maybe not this weekend! Ha!

  13. Good Happy Saturday to you Cammie, here in Long Island,NY its looking cloudy & rainy right now I'll take it over all the snow we've been having maybe it will help the snow melt a bit. I can not wait till I start to see everything bloom again!

  14. What a great pic! Where I live we got 12-13" of snow on Tuesday & Tuesday night, so no school Wed or Thurs. It was beautiful sunny Thursday and Friday. Gray today, and cold. Thanks for the chance to win some new goodies!

  15. Great candy! I'm scared to tell you about my weather. I don't want you to hate me. Yesterday hit 80, sunny and balmy. Today a "cool" front came through, so we're only getting up to 70 and overcast. But I'm in shorts, and the windows are open. I'd gladly share some of the warmth with our northern friends, though. Thanks for the chance at these yummy stamps.

  16. My second entry. What a great perk for subscribing to a blog I love anyway!

  17. Sounds like almost everyone is experiencing the white stuff, this winter. And we are no exception. The snow is piled up past the roof of our vehicle on the road and when you look out our front window, you can't see the road ... only a wall of snow. But the groundhogs have predicted an early Spring so all we can do is hope!

    ReplyDelete
  18. The weather here in northern Michigan today is cold but sunny. We don't get sun that often here in the north. So when we do it's a day of celebration.

    ReplyDelete
  19. It is 68 degrees in Oakland, CA! Sorry to the rest of the country. It is one of the perks of being from CA!

  21. Great Blog Candy, Cammie! Thanks for the chance to win. The weather here has been unbelievable! The kids have not had a full week of school since the 2nd week of December. We just keep getting hit with huge storm after huge storm, usually more than one a week. We are supposed to get more this afternoon - a mix of snow, sleet and rain - and then two more this coming week! Right now the roads are so narrow it's like driving in a tunnel. Intersections are treacherous because the snowbanks are so high you can't see what's coming until you are actually in the intersection. Roof concerns, with ice dams and collapses are a big concern right now.

So at the moment, just cold and grey, but more messy stuff coming later today! Haven't seen a winter like this in many years!

Now, you'd think that this would give more stamping time, but unfortunately, all it has meant is lots of time shoveling!!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  22. Well, its cold here, and since your snow is almost gone...we have huge piles of it we could send lol....today its gloomy...kind of ugly out...cold...so we are headed to an ice festival....the sculptures are gorgeous.....looks like the kiddos are having a blast!!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Oh the weather outside is frightful....lol!!! We have about 8" of fresh snow on top of about 1.5" ice and COLD!!! Thanks for the chance to win!

  34. Thanks for the chance to win the wonderful blog candy. Love your blog! Well, after the sleet and snow of Tuesday, I woke up this morning to 3-4 more inches of the white stuff, on top of the remainder of stuff from Tue. I think it's 25 degrees, but the sun is shining. We're supposed to get more snow tonight or tomorrow. Yeah.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I'm so glad that Lauren got to play in the snow at home - how awesome for her! You caught me on a good day - it's in the low twenties and not snowing:) It's quite foggy, though, and that's not normal. I'm in Minnesota, by the way.

  39. Well Cammie, you know this area of PA very well, so lets say the snow is the same as has been on the ground since December. It is now what Kelly Ripa calls "snirt", which is dirty snow. It has two new coats of freezing rain on the top, and it is adding a new icy layer as I type. Oh and the big local news it the new giant sink hole near KofP Plaza. It just does not seem right that you have snow, so hang in there.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I am so lucky; I live in paradise. It's a blue sky sunny 81 degrees here on the west coast of Florida. Wouldn't have it any other way.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Hi Cammie, nice pics! Time to do a scrapbook page again!

The weather in NE Montana today is in the 30's with possible freezing rain turning to snow. But I am so loving the above freezing temps as earlier in the week we were 38 below zero for 2 days!!!

    ReplyDelete
  42. I am a subscriber, thanks so much for the chance to win some fantastic stamps!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Right now it is 37 degrees and cloudy. Maybe it will melt some of the snow we have hanging around. We were out of school for 2 days last week for that big storm that went through. I am sooo ready for spring! I have to chuckle when I hear they close schools for an inch of snow. You are so very lucky to live somewhere like that.

Thanks for the chance to win such great candy! What a nice Valentines Day gift that would be!

    ReplyDelete
  44. It is very mild here these past few days - 55 degrees, but very cloudy and gray.
Looks like wonderful candy - thanks for the chance to win.

  45. Here in Milwaukee, Wisconsin the temp on Wednesday was 1 degree out due to having a blizzard and 18 inches of snow that fell thru the night. But, today we have warmer conditions, 30 degrees, yeahh!!
    Love your giveaway!!

    ReplyDelete
  46. I'm so glad you got your snow so the kids could have a day off and enjoy it! Here in Indiana we had an inch of ice earlier this week and today we had 3 inches of snow. It's still coming down so it may be more before it's all said and done. The most disconcerting thought is that we're supposed to have snow for the next three days. I am so ready for spring! Have a wonderful weekend! If the kids want to sled them some more send them up here. We have plenty of it. ;)

  47. Thanks for the chance to win. I live a couple of hours southeast of the DFW metroplex. During the days DFW were getting sleet, we were dry. But, yesterday we got snow - about 5 inches. Right now the sun is out and the "melt" is on! As a fellow Texan you know that if you don't like the weather, just wait and it will change! I enjoy your blog, thanks again!

  52. My girls live in Fort Worth and they had three days off this week. We live in the Birmingham area and within a half hour of when it started we were iced and snowed in. It looked like a blizzard for a short time, then turned to nasty sleet and ice. Interstates were a tangled mess within the hour! Expecting a heat wave today....around 41 degrees and then warmer tomorrow!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Here in my neck of the woods (OHIO) our weather has been truly freaky! Rain, freezing rain, lightning, thunder, high temps 54 at 4 a.m. falling rapidly to 18 causing flash freezing and snow....lots and lots of snow! Thanks for the opportunity to win!

  85. The weather here in south central Oklahoma has been miserable most of the week. It has been below zero a couple nights and never above freezing during the day. We got 8" of snow and it is hanging around. I have been locked in the house for 5 days and I thank God for stamping and card making! Cabin fever is a good way to describe my brain right now! Thanks for sharing the blog candy!

  86. Hi Cammie, thanks for the chance to win your yummy blog candy. The weather here is very cold and there's lots of white stuff on the ground. I live in the northern suburbs of Chicago so the area received about 20 inches on Wednesday. All the roads in the county I live in and surrounding counties were officially closed to traffic on Wednesday. So most of us were lucky enough to have a snow day that day. I'm thinking it will probably be late March or early April before thre is no snow left on the ground.

Today it is cloudy, 48 degrees with a chance of misting rain...hardly ever get heavy rainfall...Love It! Did see a pink flowering tree in bloom last week, and a camilla in full bloom yesterday, so Spring is right around the corner, and let me tell you our Spring is a beauty to behold!

  100. How fun to see what the weather is like where everyone lives. I am in Billings, MT and today we are having rain, that should turn to snow. Funny thing, everyone thinks that MT is too cold to live in, but we have had much nicer weather than the poor people living in the mid-west and east! We have had COLD occasionally, like clear down to -20, but it is fairly dry here and doesn't feel too bad.

  102. While we really feel for the rest of the nation with all their winter weather, here in Central California it's bright, sunny and warm. We're predicted to have high 60's today. You have to understand, this for us is HOT, as we don't usually get very cold in the winter (high 30's is cold for us) and high 60's is HOT HOT HOT, and we don't get many days throughout the year of either.

Piece of cake. I don't need to shovel rain - lol. We've had enough snow to keep Lauren joyful for a very long time. Come to NY. We're getting some more joy maker Tuesday and Thursday.

  113. My dd in Houston was hoping for snow but got ice instead. Here in central IL we have 4 inches of ice--yikes--not going anywhere soon that is for sure! Then today we got snow on top of that and more snow in the forecast. Thanks for the chance to win.

    ReplyDelete
  114. In Indianapolis (IN) we had about 4 inches of snow..... that on top of I swear about 4 inches of ice from earlier in the week. We finally were able to break through to concrete on our driveway today!!
Spending the rest of the day card-making and would love to win!!

  120. Thanks for the chance at some goodies! The weather here is typical Indiana - pleasant one day, bitter cold the next, then snow and sleet. Today more snow and it's on top of what is basically as hard as concrete! Spring cannot come soon enough for us!

    ReplyDelete
  121. The weather is cloudy but in the mid 60's. Sure would love to have some of that snow!!

  125. OMGosh what awesome candy! The weather here in northern GA is about 35 degrees and finally dry (we had rain for a week). We had a freak snow and ice storm in January that kept the schools closed for an entire week (whoo-hoo!), so I know what its like to be so excited to get snow while the rest of the country is tired of it :) Enjoy it while it lasts!!!

    ReplyDelete
  126. Ooh la la! Awesome blog candy! Our weather is cloudy, cold and rainy! Yuck! But some blog candy could cheer me up! ;)

  130. Thanks for the chance to win. We have had rain, freezing rain, snow, sleet, freezing rain, blowing snow, etc. Nice day to stay home and clean especially the craft room. Trying to keep my mind off next weekend when I will be attending my Dad's Memorial Service.

  132. It's 23 degrees here in central Wisconsin, which is warm for us! I can't believe your schools in Texas closed for less that an inch of snow! Thats hysterical!

    ReplyDelete
  133. Oh wow Cammie! You are giving away a lot of items for your blog candy.

Our temperatures have been frigid. from 20 degrees to sub zero. The Wind chill has made it even colder. I wear 3 layers of clothes, a scarf, hat and gloves on every time I go out. That is how cold it is. We have had 3 snow storms each week since January. Today makes our third snow storm for this week. We have gotten way too mcuh snow in NH this year. I will be very pleased when the warmer air comes in and the snow begins to melt. :) I'm happy that your children had fun with the snow that you got. I am a long term subscriber but I will only be posting once. :)

  142. Wow! I can't believe school closed for less than an inch - you guys mustn't get snow that often! Right now it is snowing and we're in for 2-4 inches overnight. Temperature wise we're currently 0 degrees Celsius (32 F) which is actually very warm right now!

    ReplyDelete
  143. The weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful...oops, that was December...and that is when it began, December 1st...since then we've only seen the grass twice, both times for only one day. We've had lots of snow, ice, wintery mix, sleet...etc. We've also had sledding, hot chocolate, puzzles, books, games, etc. Last week was a doozie...schools closed most of the week. They actually closed where I work one day which is unheard of. Anyway, I like the seasons...even in the extremes. BTW, I'm in Indianapolis.

Thanks for the blog candy give-away, such fun!

    Blessings, Teresa

  144. Here is my second entry for being a subscriber under my yahoo account. Our church has cancelled services tomorrow. I feel like it like the movie Groundhog's Day. It is the same over and over, snow, ice, snow and more ice. Living in the midwest at least we have the 4 seasons, just this year winter took over fall and looks like it will last into spring.

    ReplyDelete
  145. Thanks for the chance to win these fabulous goodies!
The weather in Simpsonville SC has been rainy the last three days, but we actually had sunshine today, nothing like the blizzards others are being hammered with!

    ReplyDelete
  146. It's actuallynotbad here right at this moment. I live in Nova Scotia, Canada and it's hovering just below freezing right now. Unfortunately that's perfect temperatures for snow which we are supposed to get 10-20cm of snow overnight tonight ( approximately 8-16 inches) and we already have around 2 feet or so ( more around our house since we seem to get alot of drifting right around us). Perfect stay inside and stamp weather I figure!!!

  148. Thanks for the chance to win some awesome candy, Cammie! It has been beautiful in NW Minnesota the last two days! Highs in the low 30s, but the not so fun part is freezing rain. Next week we're back to reality-20 to 25 below zero at night! Brrrr!

The schools, government buildings and other places have been shut down for more than 3 days. I am going on day 4 of not having any water and finally got my electricity back on. I got up one morning to 4 degree weather...thank God for blankets and a roof over my head. I did survive! Thanks for a chance to win the neat blog candy. Stay warm!

(Jess used to say, "Who's Pete? Someone I should know about?" and then laugh. lol) We haven't gotten this cold in over 55 years they say. (Made my fibro hurt so I didn't like it!) We are warming up to about 65 now... I like that sooooooooooo much better!

  184. WOW WONDER CANDY!! All my favorites and I don’t own any of them. Weather you ask? We just moved to Central Texas and we had snow Thursday night thru Friday morning. Yes, I said SNOW!! Schools were closed and my Hero Arts Paint with Ink class was canceled; drats to the latter. I thoroughly enjoyed having my twin daughters home an extra day. Yahoos, their five day weekend turned into a six day weekend!! It was fun to see the excitement in their eyes as they made “thin” snow angels and had snowball fights with the other children in the neighborhood. It was boys vs. girls—GIRLS won!! The weather has warmed up (in the 50’s) over the past couple days and the snow is gone. I must say the fluctuating weather is kind of fun because it keeps me guessing and I have become the QUEEN OF LAYERING. Now to find out when my class will be rescheduled.

    ReplyDelete
