Jon from My Shadow Box Creation contacted me several weeks ago and asked if I would like to play with one and I gladly agreed with the understanding that I would only blog about it IF I thought it was a good product. IT IS!! For this shadowbox, I had my name engraved on the front with beautiful swirls around it. (I hope you can see it in this photo- it is really difficult to photograph glass!):
I thought this would be a beautiful accent piece for my office. I can use it to display cards I have created, projects or a recent scrapbook page. When I get tired of the display----I can simply change it. I used some removable Velcro to adhere to cards to the beautiful canvas backing that the box has.
I also can use the box at local craft fairs or other places I want to display my work and I can ensure that the projects inside won't be damaged.
The inside depth is 2", much deeper than standard boxes, which allow altered projects to sit inside easily. (I have a little altered project sitting inside this one so you can see!)
The other thing I LOVE about these is that I have always created a "frame" from our family vacations. These frames are all around our game room so we can always be reminded of trips we have taken. They feature a collage of pictures and sometimes other memorabilia (like coins from Honduras, etc.) These boxes would have been perfect to use (AND you can have the trip and year engraved right on the front!)
So.....Want to try one for free?? Jon has graciously allowed me to offer one to a lucky blog reader today. So....if you would like to see how beautiful these are for yourself....and have a great customized display for your office/home, just leave a comment and let me know what you would use your Shadow Box for. (Subscribers can enter twice!) Random.Cara will pick a winner. You have until Thursday, March 17 at 8 p.m. central time to enter. The winner must contact me within three days or another winner will be selected.
AND..... here is a special code for my blog readers. Just enter SCRAP10 at checkout to receive 10% off your order!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
This is beautiful!!! going to go check out the site in a minute. TFS

Wow!! The shadow box will make a great gift for the person with everything. Thanks for the chance to win one.
ReplyDeleteThis is just what I have been looking for! I want to make some kind of display with all my kids baby "bits" (their little tags and things from hospital etc) and things like my 2 daughters first gold bracelets which no longer fit them and this would be just perfect to display them and keep them safe :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the chance to win.
Oh and I am a subscriber :)

Thank you to you and My Shadow Box Creation for the chance. I always leave my latest creation propped up to enjoy it for a few days. I hope it doesn't get bent or damaged. I would love to hang it right here behind me in my craft space...there's a perfect spot.
ReplyDeleteThank you to you and My Shadow Box Creation for the chance. I always leave my latest creation propped up to enjoy it for a few days. I hope it doesn't get bent or damaged. I would love to hang it right here behind me in my craft space...there's a perfect spot. (my second entry for subscribing...so glad I do!)
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute! I would use it to make something for my wedding.
ReplyDeleteI think your box is wonderful, Cammie! So glad you had the opportunity to inspire us this way! I can see your name - so pretty!!! Thanks for the chance to win. I know exactly what I would do with mine. We lost everything to a house fire in 1980, and dear hubby was burned over 80% of his body. We thought that all of our wedding photos had burned in the fire. A short while back, when MIL passed away, we found a 'mother's album'! I would make my wonderful husband a treasure for his office wall! Hugs!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful way to display special photos and mementos for a trip. That's what I would do with it. I would have to purchase more for other special things like our wedding, one for each of our dogs, family photos of those who are still here and a special tribute to my grandmother who has passed on. I can think of quite a few things to do with these shadow boxes. Love the depth on them too! Thanks for the chance to win!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for a chance to win this wonderful shadow box, Cammie and Jon! I like the idea of a hanging vacation collage. I have a Senior so thought it would be fun to have a way to showcase his last year of high school. It would also be an awesome way to display photos, medals, certificates, etc. for one particular sport from high school or college.
ReplyDeleteI am also a subscriber!
ReplyDeleteWonderful idea, Cammie. I have two beautiful grandchildren and a DIL who takes lots of wonderful photographs. I would fill the shadowbox with pictures and eliminate some of the MANY picture frames I have all over the house! Thank you for sharing. I too am a subscriber and love your work.
ReplyDeleteWOW Cammie, Your Display looks lovely in this Beautiful Shadow Box and is so Versatile as you said when you get tired of looking at one thing you can change it to another. I think it's very Generous of you and Jon to be giving one away, but of course I would have to buy more. My Brain is just spinning with so many ideas for these. I think if I won I would use the Win One as a Memorial to my Beautiful Mother who passed away so very young at 53.(That Dreaded C Word took her away). I have many little Trinkets and special Mementos and would LOVE to showcase them in this box, with her Name. This way she can be remembered right down the generations. Wouldn't that be Awesome.
ReplyDeleteFingers and Toes Crossed.
Kind Regards and many Thanks,
Bev. Leeson.........
Well now, Since I am a very Happy Subscriber I get a second chance to win this most Beautiful Shadow Box. As I have previously mentioned ONE would never be enough and I would have to buy more. But to win one would be really special. I have recently been on a Overseas Trip to Europe and China, so you can well Imagine I'm sure all the little Treasures I have from that Trip. It would be a Fabulous way to Display them all and every time I go into my Craft room I can be reminded of that Very Special Time. Thanks once again Carrie and Jon for your wonderful Generosity.
ReplyDeleteKind Regards,
Bev. Leeson......
I would put pictures of my grandbabies in it along with one special thing for each of them be it a small toy, a pacifier, etc. Very cool and great workmanship

ReplyDeleteI really like this idea! I just redecorated a bit in the house and one of these would look perfect on my mantle. Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely. I like that the frame is simple, but not plain. I would use it in my daughter's room for a photo from her first dance recital. The size is deep enough that I could tuck her first ballet slippers inside.
ReplyDeleteOf course I am an email subscriber. I wouldn't want to miss a single creation.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun way to display your work. I love the idea of being able to change it out and that's probably what I would do: display some of my favorites in it. Your did a wonderful job! TFS!

ReplyDeleteFabulous shadow box! I think I would use it to make Disney Trip memory box when we go with our granchildren in the fall.
ReplyDeleteSo inspiring! I love making collages and vignettes and this beautiful shadow box would be perfect for display.
ReplyDeleteThank you Jon and Cammie for a chance to win! I love your idea about showcasing vacations and think that is what I would start doing with mine. Each year we take only one, have it engraved on the beautiful box, and highlight our favorite memories! I can also see these showcasing my kids and give as presents to their grandparents too. There are lots of possibilities for these!!
ReplyDeleteOMGosh, this is an AWESOME idea & yours is so beautiful! I would love to make one for my son & DIL with trinkets from their wedding. I have an engraved golf ball that I want to cut in half from the wedding golf tournament the day after the wedding, I would also put in their invitation, pictures from both the tournament & wedding. This is perfect for this. I have been looking (not that hard, out of sight, out of mind) for something like this & you just gave me the perfect idea for my plan.

ReplyDeleteMy hubby loves music, and collects music like I do rubber stamps ... so you know he has a lot! I have had an idea for a while to get a shadowbox for his music room. In it I would create a scrapbook of sorts. But, what I love about this one is the engraved front. How cool is that? Thanks for a chance to win!

She made some necklaces, bracelets, drew pictures and even drew a few things and cut them out... I would arrange these things and put it in her room. Everything she touched is so precious now that she is gone... but she is still here in spirit! I can feel all her love... especially when I look at and touch her things.
