My New Year's Resolution

Today, I am taking some time.....to clean up my "totally out of control" craft space. I promised my friend Kim that I would post a picture of what my messy area looked like (she thought I was kidding, but as you can see---I no kid!)

The problem: Generally, I make a card and I start out on this little artist desk in my bedroom and then take the card with me all over the house and finish it in parts. If I work at night, I usually just do a little stamping and coloring at this table (yep, I just push the mess back and make a tiny space to work) and then work on the rest of the card on the floor.

Since I have little time to actually make cards, I hate taking the extra time to clean up the area. So I don't! But now it is getting tough to find things!

I promise, the rest of my house is pretty orderly (well, as neat as it can be with three kids!) but I just have some kind of problem with my craft space--it is my New Year's Resolution is to get this under control.

I have tons of stamps/paper/stuff that I no longer use or want and they are going to get sorted out (I will be listing them on here for dirt cheap) and then whatever is left will be listed on here to whoever wants them (just pay shipping!)

Step one: Organizing and sorting.....Wish me luck! Here are the stamps that I already had sorted out for purging....but I will be adding tons more!
I think the job will be pretty easy once I have this part done. Wish me luck...

If you don't hear from me in 24-48 hours, send a search party in after me!
HAPPY 2008!

I think organizing our craft room's is on just about EVERY crafters list right now!

I had promised myself I'd do it after I was finished with Christmas gifts last weekend.....but that didnt happen.

Good luck and happy new year!

Happy New Year Kindred Spirit!!! My Craft Table (although a little bigger) looks EXACTLY like yours. I was laughing my butt off when you were talking about clearing a tiny space to work because it sounds SO familiar!!!! Ever lose the tiny acrylic stamps in the mess????

Don't be surprised if you have a hard time finding things or feel a little lost when it is totally clean.......just jump in and mess it up again sistah!!!!!

Oh MY!!!! My area doesn't look at all like this..............*grin* It's soooooo much worse!! The bigger the area, the more room to make a mess. I too am having problem finding stuff, but I want to stamp, not take the time to clean....duh?!?! Good luck. I'm not making that resolution, cause I won't be able to keep it!!!!

You are too funny posting pictures like these!! LOL! I'm cracking up laughing, wondering where you fit your feet and legs underneath that table when you work?! Don't worry, I'm sure you're in a lot of good company! I'm in your league, trust me........I just don't have the guts to post pictures of my mess! LOL Keep in mind - a messy desk is a sign of a genius at work!
TFS and have a wonderful and happy New Year!!

I love that you shared photos of your space. I have a space that after a couple of stamping sessions looks a lot like that.

p.s. I want the Living Large set in the photo of stamps to sell.
