Yummy Flower Garden

I plumb forgot....Gina K is giving away a set of 36 Copic Markers as blog candy. Add a comment on her blog here: http://blog.ginakdesigns.com/ for your chance to win!

....I am trying to finish up all of my stamp mailings but tonight I had some time to play with an idea that has been in my head...

I used a tiny unfinished pot to create a lollipop holder. I love the way this turned out and there wasn't even any stamping on it (gasp!) The pot was painted with red acrylic paint. I created the toppers for the lollipops using various punches....including my new favorite--this fun heart punch from Martha Stewart. I love the pierced detail around the edges but I will warn you...you need to push HARD for this one. (I think it is worth it, though!)

The adorable rain hearts are from Gina K Designs store. I have been waiting to use them on a fun project and those hearts were just asking for them!

Materials used: flower pot; acrylic paint and paint brush; various ribbons; cuttlebug and flower die; heart punch (Martha Stewart); heart rain dots (available from Gina K Designs); circle punch (Stampin' Up!); crinkle shred; scalloped circle punch (Stampin' Up!); pop dots (Stampin' Up!); dimensionals (Stampin' Up!); flower Styrofoam; dum dums.

Here is a view of the back of the project. The toppers were attached to the wrappers of the dum dums using pop dots from Stampin' Up! Very simple!

Different ribbons were tied around the lollipop sticks for...well, just because I wanted to!

This was a fun project. Hope you like it!

Thanks for stopping by!

Way cute! I've had a similar project in my head with tootsie pops, but when I went to Target today they were out of pops! Bummer because I sure could go for a little sugar tonight!

Great project!

Carolyn;
This worked out really well! It would make a great class valentines giveaway! Except you have to be so careful with allergies etc., in my boys school we weren't allowed to bring anything because of allergies. I can't remember how old your kidlets are. Anywho... nice job.
