Yo Featured Stamper!

This week the featured stamper on Splitcoaststampers is Mary Jo Albright. If you are not familiar with her work---you are missing out. She is a fabulous designer and a sweetheart.

So, I had to get this challenge in! I chose to case her card which can be seen here. I used her color palette because I LOVE it. I also used the same images (Let's Go For a Walk by My Favorite Things.)

The changes I made were--I added hardware on the main image. I added piercings under the main image. I used hanging hardware instead of an eyelet on the sentiment. I added the scalloped strip underneath the main image. I used different ribbon (and substituted the vertical ribbon for a piece of embossed cardstock) and I rounded the two corners of cardstock.

Thanks Mary Jo for sharing your talent. Even though my case doesn't begin to do yours justice, I had a blast trying!

Materials used: Let's Go for a Walk (My Favorite Things); Ink-black; cardstock-turquoise, real red, pumpkin pie, whisper white, black; paper piercing tool; Copics, prismacolor pencils; odorless mineral spirits; slit punch; Cuttlebug and textile embossing folder; ribbon (May Arts); scalloped punch and circle punches (SU!); brads and hardware (WE R Memory Keepers); adhesive ribbon (Martha Stewart); corner rounder punch (Creative Memories).

Thanks for stopping by!

Very cute, Cam! Did you know Bazzill just came out with scalloped strips similar to the one you added to your card? They're so neat! I ordered some... can't wait for them to arrive!
