I created a baseball glove out of caramel cardstock (I worked from a template I made in case I wanted to make more!) After adding the detail with chocolate marker, I sponged the edges to give it depth.
I cut out a baseball from the dp and used it as the template for the card opening. I used my Creative Memories cutting system to create the folded over circle (the one that closest matched the size of the baseball.)
Once again, I used my Cuttlebug numbers folder to make the cut out number on the front (I just embossed a piece of red cardstock and then cut out the number I wanted to use!)
A few punched holes with hemp ties completes the front of this card.
I used Karen Foster snap stamps to create the inside sentiment-"Have a Ball!"
Materials used: Stamps-Karen Foster Stamp stamps; real red, creamy caramel and white cardstock (Stampin' Up!); chocolate chip and close to cocoa classic stamp pads (Stampin' Up!); sponge; chocolate chip stamp and write marker (Stampin' Up!); sponge; baseball paper from The Paper Studio; Cuttlebug and numbers embossing folder; Cropadile; hemp (Stampin' Up!); Creative memories cutting system.
Thanks for stopping by! (Have to go clean play dough off my kitchen floor!)

This is too cute. Joan
Very cute! Reminds me a lot of a card I designed a year ago...only I like your idea of using the baseball paper - would be so much easier than hand-stitching the baseball! *LOL*

Such a fun and clever card Carolyn!! I might have to CASE this soon. I have a co-worker from Boston and she loves Baseball. She is not into traditional girl cards...Cute. I am in the process of moving jobs, as I got a promotion.(same dept. just another office) I hope to keep up the comments. I will be away a few days, so if you don't hear from me that is why! Inky hugs, chris
Aaaaack! Too cute! Such a great idea! :)
You can also just put a piece of scrap red paper in the cuttlebug folder, over the #7. That way you waste less paper. I do it all the time. Try to use those scraps any way I can!

So cute! I struggle with boy cards...I'm such a girly girl:)
Adorable!
This is such a great card, especially for a young (or old) baseball fan! And a nice reminder that our cards do not have to have 90 degree corners. I keep forgetting that!
This is incredibly cute and creative, Carolyn! Your sponging and lacing make it look very realistic!!
