Happy Birthday Penguin

I haven't had enough time to just CREATE lately. I have been working on two requested publication pieces and doing write-ups for six others. But, I did manage to sneak a card in for the limited supplies challenge on Splitcoaststampers on Friday.

I used the adorable set called Penguins at Play by Memory Box for this card. This set has tons of images to create any type of penguin card you can imagine! I colored the images with Copic markers. Stampin' Up paper and stickers and ribbon complete the card.

When I first read the challenge, I thought it was to use ribbon and fiber scraps..which is what I did. I didn't pick up that the rest of the card should be made of scraps too....so now I am undercover, hiding from the challenge police! lol!

Materials used:Stamps-Penguins at Play (Memory Box); ink-brilliance black; turqoise cardstock, white cardstock, yellow cardstock, dp and stickers (Stampin' Up!); ribbon (SU!); silver cord (SU!); horizontal slit punch (SU!); circle punch (SU!); paper piercing tool and mat pack (SU!); Copic markers; dimensionals (SU!).

Thanks for stopping by!

Don't you hate when you almost read all the directions, but miss something kinda crucial? I am so bad for doing that. It is a wonderful card anyway. Just so cute! Love the chubby penguin in shorts! I can just see him waddling around! TFS!

Adorable penguin card! Your colors are sweet and cheery. If I were on the challenge police squad, I'd overlook the lack of scraps useage-it just makes me smile!
