Friends Furever

We are on our way out the door to take my son for his dental surgery...say a prayer that all goes well for the little bugger!

Here is a card I created a few days ago so I would have something to post this weekend! I love this image--it is from one of the newest sets from My Favorite Things called "Friends Furever." It is such an adorable stamp.

I kept this very simple (cause that is what I had time for!) I used my numbers cuttlebug folder (from Stamper's Dream store) to emboss the red in the background and used the same gingham ribbon I used on the card to make a ribbon collar tie on the dog.

Here is a close up of the image. You can see the embossed red background a bit better on this one!

Materials used: Stamps-Friends Furever (My Favorite Things); cardstock-kraft, white, red, black (Stampin' Up!); ink-brilliance black; Copic markers; gingham ribbon (SU!); Cuttlebug and numbers embossing folder (Provocraft); black brads (the Paper Studio); paper piercing tool and mat pack (SU!); dimensionals (SU!).

*** Fun Stuff:
Gina K Designs will be releasing some awesome new sets and fun new Bling & Dazzle embellishments on Tuesday, May 20, right after the new release party on Splitcoaststampers. Gina will start previewing the new sets this weekend so be sure to check out her blog for some peeks of these adorable new stamps.

Hope you all have a great weekend---say a prayer that we find a house!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hugs and prayers, hope the surgery went well. Love the beta fish! A new girl started in our department a couple of weeks ago, and she had a beta fish like this with a plant in it...I thought it was so cool!! Unfortunately we don't have much luck with fish or turtles. A dog seems to be the only thing we do well..lol
Have a fantastic weekend! Chris

Very nice card!!! Good luck on the house hunting. I will be in your shoes next Spring! Hope your DS's surgery went well. My DH does those types of surgeries all the time and they are usually very nicely done.

Hope all went well at the dentist - that's never fun as well as looking for a house...boy do you have a packed weekend. I'll keep you in my thoughts that it all goes well on both fronts.

Love the card - the simple layout really lends itself to appreciate the adorable image and your amazing coloring. The matching ribbon on the dog is just the perfect touch. TFS!

You really have a lot to deal with these days and I wish you well with everything. Hopefully your little man is doing great after his surgery. House hunting can be exhausting but I have no doubt you'll find something you'll be thrilled with.
This card is really cute - I love how you embellished it with the little piece of ribbon around the dog's neck. Very clever and eye-catching! TFS
