Glitter, Stamps n Coffee!

I am very ready for school to start----very ready. With being away combined with the move and three, ahem...shall we just call them creative children...life has been interesting.

Trying to get anything done around here is pretty much futile. That is pretty much why I stopped trying!!!

Here is my littlest sprinkling some glitter in my bathtub....(don't even ask me WHY there was glitter in the bathroom to begin with?!?!)

Ohhh pretty!!
Glitter glitter everywhere....and I am sure I will be finding it for a long time to come....
In these pictures Lauren was having a bit of a "googlie" eye day. She has exotropia so her eyes wander mostly just when she is tired....We are not ready for surgical correction just yet so she is monitored every six weeks and wears glasses for nearsightedness.
Here is my card for the fun name challenge (CNFS) I do with my CCEE group. Once a month we pick someone with a fun Splitcoaststampers sign-on name and create a card for her. This month it is Stamps'nCoffee...so the challenge was to make a coffee themed card .... AND if you can find a way to add something stamp related on your card like a image of a rubber stamp or similar, that would give you extra bonus points (GRIN...I LOVE bonus points!!!)

Joycelyn was one of my first SCS friends and I just love her--so this was so much fun!!
I used the My Favorite Things set called Hot Stuff for this card...the coffee cup worked perfectly and I love the sentiment.
I used the faux postage tutorial on SCS to create stamps. You can find the tutorial and template for the stamps here.

I stamped the coffee mugs on celery cardstock and blush cardstock and paper pieced the polkadots (I know...batty idea!) Then I went over the green and blush with Copics (which totally made the paper piecing seem redundant!) Oh well, even though I had a round about way of accomplishing this---I still like the end result (I just could have saved a bit of time!)
I embossed the sentiment along the bottom with white ep. I love how that pops!

Here is the close up of the stamps! Stamps n Coffee---mission accomplished!

You can see all the other creations the fabulous CCEEers made here (on Monday!)

Materials: Hot Stuff (My Favorite Things); cardstock-white, blush blossom, black (Stampin' Up!); designer paper (unknown); Brillance black ink; Copic markers; ribbon (Offray); silver cord (SU!); silver eyelets (SU!); circle punch (SU!); Kraft Edgers Postal scissors; corner punch (Creative Memories punch); white embossing powder (SU!); Versamark; dimensionals (SU!).

Stay tuned: Super HUGEGANTIC Blog Candy coming this week!

Thanks for stopping by!

*grins* life with kids is sure interesting hey? I think you and Julie Campbell could share a lot of glitter stories together. Ask her what her boys did to the glitter.
Beautiful card and best wishes being patient for school to start. We have a two week countdown here *lol*

Cammie, Cammie, Cammie! I see Alli has already mentioned that we've had glitter issues too! LOL! My son (just turned 3) managed to get into my bolted craft room (with the help of older brother) and opened my 4 new NEVER opened jars of ultrafine glitter and spread them all over the floor in the middle of the night. And... I've cleaned glitter out of his ears for a week! It just keeps making it's way to the surface. But... it's better than the other 'art medium' he was using. I call it Potty Art. Not fun!

That's one thing I like about having all boys...they have no interest in my stuff! The glitter would make a nice touch in a bath!Very cute card!

At least glitter is pretty! I had a flour incident in my bathroom a couple years ago... lets just say that I KNOW the people who moved in after us were finding flour inthe bathroom! LOL! Great card btw. Coffee... mmmm.

Love the card and your glittery girl. (the googlie eye thing is so predominant when they are focusing on a camera. I had to have my son look at the wall behind me or closer or father than the camera.) Your daughter is precious, particularly covered in the terminal glitter :D

Ahh, I can't wait for school to start either--I'll get more done that's for sure (LOL)! Love the coffee card, but the picture of your daughter w/ glitter all over was the best (made me lol)! I'm always visiting your blog, but sometimes don't have a chance to comment so I've given you 2 awards over on my blog--if you get a chance check them out.

Ha! TOO cute that your daughter has gotten into the glitter and that you were smart enough to just grab the camera instead of getting angry :-)

Super cute card, Carolyn! Love those colors! Good luck cleaning up the glitter. That stuff just does not let go!

My son has esotropia-side effect of last year's surgery and will have that corrected next week. Although it doesn't compare to what he went through last summer, it's still a surgery and not something a parent would choose if possible to avoid. If you ever care to chat about it, you know how to find me. Hugs to you and your daughter!!

Awww... she's adorable! Tell her Auntie Carole said she can play in all the glitter she wants. When's her birthday? I'm thinking I'll send her a bunch of embossing powder and a heat gun... I'm sure she can make some wonderfully unique carpet art if given the proper supplies! ;)

Great card! Love the glitter! Rose Ann sent me a glitter magnet and it's just perfect! I can't believe how it just keeps picking it up and holding it-really cleans any surface. It's like a tack cloth, and er, you're gonna need one!!
