Lattice Bird

Well...this card didn't photograph well...in the picture it looks pretty plain-- but in real life you can see the lattice background on the vanilla background and it is a nice touch. I used my Scor-Pal on both of the vanilla background layers to create a lattice design.

I used this beautiful set from Inque Boutique called Birdies. You can find it at Stamper's Dream store. This set is a bargain---tons of stamps for the price and they are all gorgeous! I colored most of the image with Copic markers. The flowers were colored with a blender pen and my Cranberry Crisp stamp pad (Stampin' Up!)

The flourish is a die cut by QuicKutz that I bought to see if I could get it to work in my Cuttlebug. (Little known fact about me---I buy tons of things not made for the Cuttlebug to see if I can get them to work in it!) And, yep, it worked. Wooohooo!

To finish up the card, I added some Hero Arts gemstones to the corners of the card and some Frosted Lace stickles to the flower centers. Both of these can be found at Stamper's Dream!

Here is a close up view of the bird and flower detail. The bird and flowers were cut out and popped up on dimensionals to appear like it is sitting on the flourish.

Materials used: Birdies (Inque Boutique); cardstock- vanilla, choc chip, cranberry crisp (Stampin' Up!); Gemstones (Hero Arts); Copic Markers; Flourish die cut (QuikKutz); Cuttlebug (Provocraft); Brilliance black ink; Cranberry Crisp stamp pad (SU!); blender pen (SU!); Scor-Pal; Frosted Lace Stickles (Ranger); dimensionals (SU!).

Thanks for stopping by!

yeah, yeah.. looks great. i use Quickutz in my Cuttlebug and have been eyeing some of the little Sizzix dies. Have you used them in the cuttlebug? Not the thick ones, the thinner ones. I'm sure they would work, just checkin' to make sure.
Thanks for all your ideas.
