So Thankful....

...for all of the support I have received with my new set.

I just wanted to give a few personal shout-outs and let you know about ANOTHER perk of buying Whimsical Autumn. As you know...ALL of my proceeds from this set will be sent to the Alzheimer's Association....but here is another bonus---- a sweet stamping friend of mine contacted me this morning saying that she was so touched by what I was doing and that she wanted to give back as well. She bought the set and also pledged to give $1 to the Alzheimer's Association FOR EACH SET SOLD IN THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER! Wow...How great is that???? So special thanks to Lesa Smaligo!!!! You are a gem. I was so floored to get your email and I cannot thank you enough!

Special thanks to the awesome Debbie Olsen who wanted to help get the word out and posted this beauty on her blog today. HUGS Debbie. You are a rockstar!

Special thanks to my wonderful buddy Carole Burrage. She not only posted a card today with a set that I gave her....but she also made a donation to the Alzheimer's Association because she didn't want to get the set for free. So, she donated that amount (and then some) in my grandmother's name. Love ya girl!

Special thanks to one of the greatest boss ladies---Kim at MFT, who not only blogged about Gina K's release, but also is offering blog candy---the winner receives a $50 gift certificate to Gina K Designs. How awesome is that? Go check it out!

Special thanks to my spectacular CCEE girls who are doing a challenge using my new set on September 22...so you will see plenty of fabulous ideas for this set. One of these girls JUST HAD HAND SURGERY and managed to make a card and upload it today on SCS....You are something Charlene! Hugs! And another one, Cindy (Mothermark) started a thread on Splitcoaststampers to let everyone know about this set...Thank YOU! Each and every one of these ladies have hearts as big as their talent!

Special thanks to Gina K....because you made this possible.

Special thanks to my mom--who was the inspiration behind this set. I watched her selfless love as she took care of my grandmother for years...and I know that this disease took as much of a toll on her as it did on Mamo. You are my hero!

And now...before I go...I have another set to give away....this time I chose the person because I was so touched by what she said: "All of your cards are so beautiful! What a wonderful job you have done on the stamps and best wishes for a great success with their sale. I live on Social Security with very limited funds and if I had more financial resources I would order a set, myself. I lost my mom in August 2006, she had dementia for the last three-to-four years of her life and even that was very sad and frustrating for both of us. I was physically disabled, too, but I cared for her, her last five years as she was wheelchair confined. We had each other and that was a wonderful thing. I am sorry for your loss. Best wishes, Cathy B. " Cathy, please email me your address because I would love to send you a set!

I have more to share...tomorrow....today I am just so THANKFUL...

Thanks for stopping by!

Your post just bought tears to my eyes. Everything you wrote was obviously said from your heart and I don't think anyone could ask for more. Your set is amazing (as are all of them) and the sentiment behind it is so deeply moving. My heart goes out to Cathy B. and all those who have been forced to deal with this disease - what a fabulous way for you to give back - I am sure your grandmother would be so proud.

I have set up a link on my blog about this set and your cause to hopefully bring more attention to it as well!

What you are doing with your stamps is truly a gift of love. My family, throughout several generations, has suffered from Huntington's Disease, which was first thought to be a form of dementia. It is dibilating and can tear a family apart or bring them together. At this time, I have 1 cousin living with it, but what can her children & grandchildren expect? I commend you for your work & hope that I will be able to support you. (where can I buy the stamps?)
