I like making mini photo albums for my mother and mother-in-law to keep them updated on their great grandchildren! On my back burner is a wool quilt for my son made from wool skirts and dresses I wore in college (in the 60's!).

I love to make mini albums for family members showing how my son has grown up each year. I usually give them as Christmas gifts.

My favorite gift I have ever made was for my MIL. It was a mini album for her with the grandkids in it. She loved it so much!

Great idea to do a pen too.
I'd love to make custom Tshirts or bags, so winning a Yudu screen printing system would be wowee!

Your monogrammed gift set is adorable! I love the card holder - such a great idea for end-of-year teacher gifts too (geez, I'd better get on that!).
Your question gives me a chance to brag on my dear daughter. She "made" one of my favorite gifts. It's a little wooden sign that says "Love grows here", and it has her handprints on it. Well, OK...her teachers in preschool made it, but her little handprints are what made it so precious to me - it's outside in our garden now!
Thanks for all the crafty inspiration!

Happy Birthday, Cammie!

A gift I would like to make for my mom and all her siblings is a photo book of all the old family pictures. My grandmother passed away 4 years ago this week and the family pictures are still sitting in albums. They need to be scanned ASAP. I don't want to lose these memories.

I LOVE your project!!! Here's hoping that I might be lucky enough to win one of the great prizes so I could maybe create something like what you've done. As far as a favorite gift I have made, well, I learned how to crochet when I was 16, and so for Christmas I made my brother an afghan. I didn't have a pattern, or a way to measure how big the bed would be, so I just guessed.... It turned out GREAT. So great, in fact, that it was big enough to cover their queen size bed...when the afghan was folded in HALF! I had made it TWICE the size I needed to! While the project seemed to take forever, it's still my most favorite "gift" I've made!!

I have to say the best gift I made was a wall art for my mother. She treasured that gift which made all the work so worth while!

Thank you for this awesome opportunity!

The last gift I made was actually a Party Favor for a baby shower. I wrote a cute poem asking "a favor" to light a candle and say a prayer when the baby is born. Wrote a heartfelt prayer, decorated a glass votive holder with candle and decorated a favor bag to hold it all. All pieces were monogramed and coordinated. Took forever to make 27! It was worth it when they turned out to be such a sentimental hit.

Cammie, great project as usual. The favorite gift I ever made (that I got the best reaction from, anyway), was a scrapbook for my sister and brother in law. I asked everyone to send me pictures and journaling, prior to their destination wedding, and then I put it all together in a scrapbook. They were both in tears because they had no idea, I had done something like that.

It's hard to pic a favorite. I love making cards, but I like other crafts too. I know I want to learn how to quilt...and recently I made a crocheted & sewn baby dress, mary jane booties, & a stuffed bunny rabbit for a friend's new baby girl. That was lots of fun!

THanks for sharing your talent with us and for the chance at the great prizes!

The best gift I ever made was just this past Christmas. I made an 8x8 album for my stepmom filled with photos of her first grandchild. I worked on it for weeks and finished it on December 12th, with time to spare to finish other projects. Unfortunately I never got to give it to her. She passed away very unexpectedly on December 13th at the young age of 54.
Don't mean to share such sad news but it was the best gift I ever made and I looked so forward to Christmas morning when she opened it.

What a great gift. My daughter and I were talking about the need to have a stash of cards on hand and different ways to package them just last night. I'll keep this in mind.

I altered a flowerpot for my son's preschool teacher's end of year gift. It was handpainted and embellsihed with scalloped trim. I did individual flowers with each children's name. We filled it with gardening stuff and it was a hit.

My favorite gift I have ever made was an "Our Story" album for my husband. I spent months on that album working in secret. In it, I told the story of our life from the time we were little kids all the way up to our present life. The final picture was our most recent family photo with all 4 kids. I hid it in his car, hoping he would find it when he got to work. I was just getting up for the day when he came back into the house crying ... He had found it when he went to back out of the driveway and spent an entire hour in the car reading it! Needless to say, he was late for work, but he says it was worth it since it was the best gift anyone had ever given him. Knowing that makes me feel better than if someone had given me a million dollars :D

I made a jewelery box for my mom one year. I embossed some copper (repujado) in an intricate design for the top with a frame cut out. In the frame I put a pic of the grandkids printed on canvas paper. The whole thing was aged with paints and inks. It was beautiful. I had a hard time parting with it. LOL!

Thanks for the Blog Hop Give-away opportunity! Your Blog is great.

My favorite gift I made was a scrapbook for my Mother's retirement, which I had available at the retirement dinner. I left it out and asked everyone to comment inside the scrapbook on several of the pages which I had decorated with journaling spaces.
It came out awesome and everyone loved helping me create the perfect keepsake.
