Spread the Love for Jaimie

Hello! Welcome to the "Spread the Love for Jaimie" Blog hop. The first stop on the hop is Katharina Frei, so if you didn't start there, you might want to go back and hop through.

The point of this blog hop is to reach out to a very special young girl, Jaimie (11), who recently lost her mom in a chilling burglary. You can read all about the story HERE.

Here is a summary....
"On October 4th, 4 teenagers armed with knives broke into a home in a small town in New Hampshire. Alone and sleeping inside were a mother and her 11 year old daughter. These 4 boys broke into this home with the intent to rob and kill anyone inside. They stabbed the mom, Kimberly Cates, to death and left her daughter, Jaimie, for dead in their driveway. It was a completely random act, their home was chosen only due to its secluded surroundings."

Our hope is that everyone hopping around today will stop for a moment and think about Jaimie and her father and what life must be like for them now. One moment in time has changed their lives forever. We are asking that everyone reading this message please take a moment to make a card and send it off to Jaimie. You can make something very simple or much more involved, but please share some words of hope and love and let her know that people do care and want the best for her.

Please send your card to the address below:
Jaimie Cates
c/o Mont Vernon Fire Station
Main Street
Mont Vernon, NH 03057

Please visit "Stamp Something...for Jaimie: Spreading Love and Hope" site to read more about Jaimie and join the special Card Drive Challenge. There are many generous sponsors who have kindly offered up some prizes to anyone who makes a card, posts it on their blogs, and lets us know they mailed it out.

Here is the card I created for Jaimie:

All stamps are from Gina K Designs.)
I hope you will consider participating in this challenge.

The next stop on the hop is Avril! Head on over to see the wonderful creation she designed for Jaimie!

Thanks for stopping by.

Ohhhh Cammie... how very very sad. I will definitely send a card. *sniff sniff*

You're a sweetheart to think of others that you don't even know... I am so touched.

This just breaks my heart. My daughter is also 11 and I cannot begin to imagine her or my 15 year old son, having to deal with something like this. What a wonderful thing to do for this girl, to show her that random acts can also be good acts. Your card is beautiful. Thanks for sharing this, I'll make my card today.

Such a senseless tragedy. I will send a card to Jamie and her father this weekend when I get home (I'm on business travel this week). I have an 11-year old daughter myself - and well, I'm now grieving for Jamie and her Dad. Thank you for letting us know.

Thanks for sharing your compassion and letting us know about this tragedy and opportunity for prayer and sharing a message of hope. Your card is so peaceful and lovely; I hope it greatly blesses Jaimie.

Also, even though you're probably not too big on sharing awards on your blog, I wanted to let you know that I've passed along a really cute and fun one your way. Hope you don't mind. ;)
