MFT Wednesday Stamp Challenge and the LAUREN Couch

Hello! This week's MFT Wednesday Stamp Challenge is----It's In the Bag. Create a treat bag or gift sack.

Here is my treat container---> I used Little Loveosaurus to alter a tobacco tube. (Yep...wandered into our great downtown shopping square and found these cool tubes..a bit thicker than the standard ones! YIPEE!)

I covered the top and bottom with some Halloween paper by Echo Park. I paper peiced the dino boy and added him along the top wrap that goes around the tube. (So when you open the lid, the boy remains on the tube part.)

Wanna play along? Hope so. Head on over to Kim's blog at 11 am EST (on Wednesday) for all the details on how you can be entered to win a $15 gift certificate. Kim will also have a a complete list of participating designers for today's Wednesday Stamp Club so you can check out all the samples before you play!

And this week's--- "I'm Glad It's YOUR Kid and Not Mine Moment" is brought to you by LAUREN------>

Our living room couch (we bought it so it would be comfortable AND we wouldn't have to worry if kids ruined it because we were gonna get rid of it as soon as they were all a bit older*.)
Lauren---marked her spot in RED yesterday. On one hand I am so proud at how well she is writing...on the other hand....I would have PREFERRED that it wasn't on a piece of furniture.

Oh well. See asterisk above!

KIDS! (Or is it just mine?)
Thanks for stopping by!

Oh MY Gosh...cute dino craft...my grandson is going to be dino for Halloween...but I have to say...I am still laughing at your perfectly decorated couch. I think you should embroider it on to give it that special touch.

And secondly, your daughter is SO funny! I just love reading stories about her! This one though! Oh my! Did your face turn red?! Mine would have!!!! You should be able to use this as leverage when she's older!!!!

Great project Cammie!

I just had to share your KIDS story with my DD who has just had a day which started at 4:30 a.m. with her 5 1/2 month baby waking, and since then baby has had approx 1 1/2 hours sleep... that was at 5 p.m. Needless to say she was in need of a smile.

thank you for sharing.

No, it's just not your kid. And sometimes they don;t get any better as they get older! Ugh! I had a "kid moment" with my 28 year old daughter this morning. Great treat holder! Love the loveasaurus! Have a great day!

Yes! You are right....glad it's your kid and not mine! LOL However, my child has been acting up at school so maybe I'd prefer the name on the couch???

Anyway, love your candy project! Very cute!

Your treat container is awesome! How cute is that?!!!

LOL I'm sure Lauren feels awful now :( Kids do the silliest things and as you look back at this in many years...you'll laugh...tell the story at her wedding...you know...embarass her ;)

I have to tell you a story. When my daughter was younger, she wrote her name on EVERYTHING. I had several cross-stitch pictures in her room and if you looked closely, her name was written in on all of them. But the kicker was...one day my husband was washing his car and he noticed that she had scratched her name on the driver's door! She tried to blame her brother, but he was only about 1 year old at the time, so it didn't work.

The couch...LOL!!! Ok, my kid didn't do anything like this (thank goodness) but I did to my parents car. Carved my name with a sharp object in the car door! Classic....Love the project girlfriend!

LOVE the treat container. It's really really cute.

The couch? Oh, I'm sorry. But thanks for the giggle this morning. ;-D If it makes you feel better, you're not the only one. My son carved 'I love you' into my wooden kitchen chair when he was younger. ARGH! Yet I wasn't supposed to be mad since it was a love note. rofl Kids! They DO keep life interesting, don't they?

Great treat holder!!

As for the couch - I like the first suggestion to embroider over it and keep it forever.

Adorable candy tube!! As for the couch, perhaps since she's now marked it as hers, she can have it when she moves out!! ;-)

Finally catching up on some of my blog reading... that tube is too cute, and the couch story... oh my! But you know what? One of these days, you are going to get rid of that couch but keep that cushion. Not that we want to encourage that kind of stuff, but when it happens organically, it's awfully precious. Something tells me Miss Lauren is a chip off the ol' Camster! :)
