Hey, Hey It's Magic...

Hello---it is time again for my weekly CCEE challenge that I do with a bunch of great girls. This week we had to do a card featuring Black Magic! Ohhh....ahhhh!
After searching for awhile, I realized I did not have any stamps (thick chunky flowers?) that would work for this technique so I figured I would just sit this one out.....

BUT then something truly magical happened. I created the base of the card and then just left it in my stamp room.....
...and I came back later and this was there! Wowie---how's THAT for Black Magic????? (I put my name on that black card so no one tries to steal that beauty!)

(Yes, I do realize I am in for a bit of a butt kicking on this one! ) You can check out the CCEE blog for everyone else's version of Black Magic here! (On Monday!) Hope you will play along!

Since I couldn't play along with the CCEE challenge--I thought I would do another popular challenge---Taylor's Friday Cupcake Challenge "TECC28".

I met Taylor at CHA and she gave me some awesome ribbons from her store and a few other things to play around with. I HAD to use this blue satin ribbon and the fun orange grosgrain ribbon---The blue is so rich and elegant and it matched perfectly with the Cupcake designer paper. You can find ribbons and so much more at Taylor's store!

Here is a close up of the image. I colored it with Copic markers and added a bit of sparkle with some red Stickles!

The cupcake is from Stampendous "Hey There Cupcake" set (currently out of stock) and the sentiment is from Hero Arts "Frames & Messages" set. I got them both from Stamper's Dream store. Check out Michelle's store for an outstanding variety of stamps and embellishments and not to mention...super fast shipping!!!
Materials used: Hey There Cupcake (Stampendous), Frames & Messages (Hero Arts); cardstock-white, designer paper--Cupcake (Basic Grey); Copic markers; Black Brilliance ink; metal dots (Colorbok); red stickles; ribbon (Taylored Expressions); circle and scallop punches (Stampin' Up!); paper piercing tool and mat pack (Stampin' Up!); dimensionals (SU!).
Stay tuned: I am playing with all the summer releases from Gina K Designs now. Wow--these stamps are fantastic!!!! AND...I may (or may not be) finalizing the images in a new set from me...
Thanks for stopping by!
