Farewell Stamper's Dream Hop

In case you haven't heard yet---Michelle Rodgers has made the difficult decision to close her online store-- Stamper's Dream. :( I still remember when she contacted me to be on her design team. It was such an awesome day. She is such an amazing person and stamper....and I am so grateful to have the honor of her friendship.

For my card above, I used the Stampavie image, Chanson D'Amour. I coupled the image with Season's Greetings patterned paper by Echo Park.

Michelle has decided to end on a great note---with a HUGE SALE! Everything in the store is 20% off with the coupon code Farewell2U. Just enter the code on the checkout page in the coupon section and it will take 20% off the lowest marked price of the items in your shopping cart! There is a $20 minimum to activate the coupon. (Sorry, but there will be no free shipping during the liquidation.)

And did you know we're having our very last Stamper's Dream blog hop??? Here's the lineup: ETA: My links aren't working---You can find the links on Michelle's blog!

Next I used one of my favorite MFT die-namic dies-fresh cut grass to create a sweet baby card. The dp is by October Afternoon:

Here is a shaped card I created from a simple fold over card. I simply covered the card front for the front of the cake and used some of the strips of paper to make the candles. For my first card I used the snowman image from Groovy Snowmen 1- 3/4" Borders & Centers set and paired it with a sentiment from Christmas Nested Sentiments Centers & Verse:

I stamped the snowman on white cardstock and colored him with Copics and Prismacolor pencils. I added a bit of icicle stickles on the snowflake.

JustRite 12 Weeks of Christmas Blog Hop #2

On Wednesday, The Dream Team from Stamper's Dream is joining JustRite Stampers for their newest Wednesday feature, 12 Weeks of Christmas Blog Hops #2! Every Wednesday until Thanksgiving some of your favorite designers will be joining some of the JustRite design team for a series of Christmas blog hops, showcasing the JustRite Christmas Collection of stamps! So mark your calendars for Wednesdays at 9am Central for great Christmas gift, card and project ideas, starting at the JustRite Inspiration blog!

*******NOTE: Yep, I know it's Monday night--I have to post my card early because of a previous commitment. The rest of the team will be posting on Wednesday!********

For my card, I used Whimsical Christmas to make a holiday greeting card:

I inked the sentiment with two ink colors and then stamped. Instead of using it as a circular shape, I just cut it into a square after stamping.

Then, I stamped blue snowflakes over the sentiment to tie it into the design of the card:

I created a little flower from patterned paper and the Spellbinders blossom dies, die cutting several layers and then crumpling them up one by one. I used a bit of craft wire wound around a pencil for the leaves/stems.

Materials used: Stamps- Whimsical Christmas (JustRite Stampers); ruby red, olive markers (Stampin' Up!); soft sky ink (SU!); Designer paper- Chicken Noodle: Chicken Bouillon (Jillibean Soup); So Sophie: Simple Things, Nice Numbers (My Mind's Eye); Be Merry Frosty Flakes (My Mind's Eye); Cardstock stickers (borders) Jolly by Golly (Cosmo Cricket); green wire; adhesive gemstones (Mark Richards); Blossom Dies (Spellbinders); Cuttlebug; Brad (The Paper Studio); stapler.

Please visit these designers’ blogs ON WEDNESDAY to see what fabulous Christmas projects they have to share with you:

Follow Your Dreams

This is the card I made for my daughter when she graduated 8th grade this year. She is NOT fond of flowers (gasp!) so I had to go a different route...She loved it.

I used JustRite Stampers All Occasion Nested Centers & Verse set AGAIN! (...can you tell I LOVE it!?) I inked the sentiment using two markers and then cut a cloud shape around the stamped image so I would be sure to get it all in.
You can find a huge selection of JustRite stamps at Stamper's Dream. Be sure to check out the Christmas release---coming soon!!!

Materials used: Stamps- All Occasion Nested Centers & Verse (JustRite Stampers); markers-red, black (SU!); designer paper- Fly a Kite 8 by 8 pad (October Afternoon); Cloud die trio (My Favorite Things); ribbon (Gina K Designs); Cardstock-white, sweet corn (Gina K Designs); sewing machine; red metal stickers (Mark Richards); rub on-Fly a Kite (October Afternoon).

Happy Birthday Michelle!

Hello!!! Today, some friends of Michelle (Stamper's Dream) are celebrating her birthday by throwing her a card party. We have all created birthday cards for her featuring the new Justrite stamps. If you've come from Laurie's blog, you're in the right place. If you didn't start at the beginning, you can do so by going to Kellie's blog.

I used a sentiment from All Occasions Nested Sentiments and Verse set and framed it using the Spellbinders Ice Cream Cone Shapeabilities and Fly a Kite dp by October Afternoon.

The ice cream cone was embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder that was inked with Frayed Burlap distress ink (Ranger). I added some sheer May Arts ribbon along the edge.
Now head on over to Denise's blog for some more birthday fun and don't forget to stop by Michelle's blog to wish her a Happy Birthday!!

"Happy Birthday Michelle! Have a WONDERFUL DAY....Love ya lots, Cammie"

Stamper's Dream JustRite Blog Hop

The newest JustRite stamps have arrived to Stamper's Dream store. To celebrate, the team organized a blog hop today to share some projects we created with the newest release.

For my project, I created a memory album using several of the new JustRite sets. It was our 9th anniversary last week and so I thought this would be a fun project to create. I intend to go back and add some pages of memories and writings to this in the future.

For the cover, I painted the chipboard album black and then added some October Afternoon designer paper. I used the sentiment from Cherish the Memories Nested Centers & Verse set . I love this sentiment for memory books and it even works great for a wedding card or baby card.
Here is a picture of the book slightly opened....

Here is a detail shot of the front page title. I layered the sentiment on a black mat and then popped it up over the delicate frame from the Baroque Nested Frames 3 Border & Center set. I added some flowers to the corners and some tiny silver dots. Then, I added another section of another frame below this for some added detail.

Here is the first pages of the book. I love how large this sentiment is...perfect for scrapbooking too! The A Perfect Day sentiment is also from Cherish the Memories Nested Centers & Verse set. The I Love You sentiment is from the All Occasion Nested Centers & Verse set. I chose to stamp it and cut it out for this page.

I used the JR Clear Horizontal stamper set (which comes with TWO clear blocks so you can see exactly where you stamp---a must have!) and the JR Brayton font to create the years sentiment. I stamped another frame as the background for this page.
Finally, I used the Happy Anniversary sentiment from the Baroque Nested Frames 3 Border & Center set for the last page.
I have so many other ideas for other memory albums I want to create. They are so much fun and don't take much time to complete.
Materials used: Stamps- Baroque Nested Frames 3 Border & Center, Cherish the Memories Nested Centers & verse, All Occasion Nested Centers & Verse (JustRite); cardstock-ivory, red hot (Gina K Designs); Clear horzontal stamper set (JustRite); Memento tuxedo black ink; markers-black, red (SU!); black acryllic paint; Chipboard album (Mary Engelbreit, Micheal's); Designer paper- Thrift Shop 8 by 8 pad (October Afternoon); silver adhesive dots (Michael's); felt embellishments (Prima); flower (Prima); slit punch (SU!); Tea dye distress ink (Ranger); sponge; cuttlebug number die (Provocraft); ribbon (May Arts).

Here are the links to the rest of the Stamper's Dream team who are posting today:

Enjoy--I know there is gonna be a LOT of eye candy! I cannot wait to see what these talented ladies have created as well!

It's JustRite Week at Stamper's Dream

Happy Monday! All this week the Stamper's Dream team is posting with the new JustRite releases! Be sure to check out what each team member created each day (schedule is below!)

Today, I used the Let's Celebrate 2" Square Border & Frames set to create this summer monkey greeting (designed especially for a monkey loving stamping friend of mine :) I know she will LOVE it. insert evil laugh!)
Isn't that little monkey cute? I stamped him and cut him out and separated the sentiment and attached that under him on the metal tag. Thought this guy would work perfectly with the summer journal card!
There is also a lion, elephant, greeting and square borders in the set. Definitely a funtastic set!!!

Materials used: Stamps- (JustRite); Memento tuxedo black ink; Tea Dye distress ink (Ranger); sponge; Scor-Pal; metal rimmed tag (SU!); twill (SU!); designer paper- Thrift shop 8 by 8 pad October Afternoon; Fly a Kite journal Card (October Afternoon); Mini market stickers-red & cream (October Afternoon); cardstock- white, ivory, kraft (Gina K Designs); raffia.

Stamper's Dream sponsors JustRite challenge!

Hello! This week, Stamper's Dream is sponsoring the JustRite challenge! The winner will receive a $50 Gift Certificate to Stamper's Dream . There will also be three honorable mention winners who will win a JustRite stamp set of their choice. Yipee!!!! Lots of chances to win just for playing along! Here is what you need to do to enter: You will need to make a card using the sketch:
...and JustRite stamps. Then, post your entry to your blog or an online gallery, and link using the new linking system on the JustRite Inspiration Blog challenge post. All the details can be found there as well. You will have until next Thursday, May 6th at 9am central to make your project and enter a link to it on the JustRite blog post. Then the winner will be chosen and announced a little later that day on the JustRite Inspiration Blog, as well as on the Stamper's Dream blog. So...get busy making those cards! We would love to have you play along!

Here is what I came up with:

I flipped the sketch to create this card. The waves are reversed though (I should have put the smaller one on the bottom to strictly adhere to the sketch--oopsie!) Otherwise, the elements are there.

I used the new JustRite By the Sea Borders & Centers Oval set to create this. Instead of using the sentiment in the oval shape, I cut out the words and added them into the waves. I paper pieced the boat and clouds and just used those portions of the main image since I wanted to create my own waves for the sketch elements. I added some piercing holes for the wind.

Materials used: Stamps-By the Sea Borders & Centers Oval (JustRite Stampers); Memento tuxedo black ink; Designer paper-The Boyfriend: tube socks (Cosmo Cricket), Fly a Kite 8 By 8 pad (October Afternoon); Creative Memories cutting system; fibers; slit punch (SU!); adhesive dots (Recollections, Michael's); corner rounder punch (Creative Memories).

Head on over to these wonderful blogs to see more sketch-y cards:

Stayed tuned: Next week is JustRite week at Stamper's Dream. All week the design team will be showing you the newest stamps that just arrived in the store. You won't want to miss it!

Thanks for stopping by!

Just playing....

.............with some October Afternoon paper. I LOVE the 8 by 8 pads.

I took a literal approach to the Fly a Kite line and came up with this: I cut out the triangular shapes and cut some in half vertically and horizontally and then glued the pieces onto the solid ones to form the kites. I poked a hole under the kite to add the embroidery floss that goes down under the sentiment. I added some black dots around the main panel and around the cloud.
Easy and fun!

You can find this October Afternoon paper pad at:
Stamper's Dream store .

Materials used: white cardstock (Gina K Designs); Designer paper- Fly a Kite 8 by 8 pad (October Afternoon); Farm Fresh word sticker (October Afternoon); embroidery floss.

Have a great day!

Stitched with Love

Hello!!! I am slowly getting back to reality!!
Things are busy---it is tournament week for my son's baseball team..which means lots of extra games; my oldest started taking piano lessons and LIKES them! (woohooo!); and last night I dropped my blackberry into the hopper (nice, eh?) I should clarify that it was a clean toilet :) In my defense, I keep it in my back pocket at all times in case school calls, etc. and the jeans I was wearing were loose so it just jumped right out. Sigh!

Last night, while I was watching TV I was playing around with the Cosmo Cricket Material Girl papers and came up with this: I love how easy it was....and how fun it was to actually stitch the squares to make them look more quilt-like!
I used a sentiment from Stitched with Love Borders & Centers by JustRite Stampers. and paired it with some Cosmo Cricket Material Girl adhesive Chipboard stickers and twill ribbon.

Did you know that you can find JustRite stamps and Cosmo Cricket paper at Stamper's Dream store?

Materials used: Stamps- (JustRite); Memento tuxedo back ink; Cardstock-ivory (Gina K Designs); designer paper-Material Girl (Cosmo Cricket); Material girl adhesive chipboard (Cosmo Cricket); twill ribbon (SU!); sewing machine; corner punch (Fiskars).

Thanks for stopping by!

It's Impression Obsession Week at Stamper's Dream

Hi all ya'll!!! This week is Impression Obsession Week at Stamper's Dream and so the team is showcasing their wonderful stamps ALL week long. Today, Tosh , Silke , Amy , Michelle and I have cards to share. (But be sure to check out the schedule below so you can catch up on any posts you might have missed on Monday and Tuesday---'cause they are FANTABULOUS!)

I love Impression Obsession! They offer such variety in their stamp images--from elegant to whimsical!

My card features the Spoiled Rotten set (which includes the pup, sentiment and lots of paw prints and bones.) I *heart* this guy---he looks like he has gotten himself into some trouble but how could you be mad at that face??:
I had a hard time photographing these colors for some reason. What you might not be able to see is that I stamped the dog twice so that I could pop up the head and bone for some dimension. You can see that a bit better on this photo:
I colored the dog with Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils. His scarf is paper pieced to match the background colors. It was a bit tricky working with the small pieces but I love the look!
This fits the Moxie Fab Picking up the Pieces challenge this month.
I stamped the prints all around and on the sentiment circle. This set is so fun to play with!
Materials used: Stamps- Spoiled Rotten (Impression Obsession); white cardstock (Gina K Designs); Copic markers; Prismacolor Pencils; Ink: Memento tuxedo black, going grey (SU!); designer paper- Park Buddies (SEI); ribbon-white twill; button; sewing machine; corner rounder punch (Creative Memories); hemp (Hobby Lobby).

Here is the week's schedule:
Today - Leslie , Laurie and Becca
Tuesday - Cindy , Amy , Denise , Dawn and Michelle
Wednesday - Tosh , Silke , Amy , Michelle and me
Friday - Laurie , Silke , Tosh , and Michelle
You *may* notice a new name on the design team names above. The wonderful Leslie Miller just joined the Stamper's Dream team! Welcome Leslie!!
Thanks for stopping by!

JustRite Mega March Blog Hop

I am so honored to be part of this HUGE event! In addition to amazing project ideas, you will have a wonderful opportunity to WIN BIG (keep reading below!)

But first, here is the project I designed for the hop using the fabulous JustRite Seeds of Kindness 1 5/8 Round Centers & Borders set:

I found an unfinished wood wheelbarrow at Hobby Lobby and thought this would be perfect to use for a little gift. I just painted it, made some paper flowers and added the wonderful JustRite sentiment and border.
You can see in this picture how the flowers are actually "planted" in the wheelbarrow. I added some Styrofoam into the bottom of the barrow and then covered it with designer paper (for the grass). Then I was able to stick the wire right through the paper into the foam.

Materials used: Stamps- Seeds of Kindness Round Centers & Borders (JustRite Stampers); Memento tuxedo black ink; Olive ink (SU!); Spellbinders circle and scalloped circle dies; designer paper by Cosmo Cricket and Jillibean Soup; wire; styrafoam; acryllic paint; cardstock-white, sweet corn (Gina K Designs); brads; jute twine (Gina K Designs); adhesive pearls (K&Company); Styrofoam; wheelbarrow (Hobby Lobby)
Wouldn't this be a cute way to present a gift card?

Now the Hop Details: 25 designers, FIVE shopping sprees each day. No one knows where the prizes will be! Each day of the hop JustRite will have five Mystery Blog Candy Prizes hidden along the hop with a total retail value of $600. JustRite will randomly select five mystery blogs each day of the hop and randomly allocate each of the shopping sprees. For your chance to win, simply leave a little love (a comment) on each designer’s blog including the JustRite blog. The more designers you leave comments with, the better your chances of winning. Each day’s comments will remain open for three days. A winner from each of the mystery blogs’ comments will be randomly chosen using Random.org. Consult the listing of designers at the JustRite blog each day (each day’s designers will be different) and start out on your way! Beginning Friday, March 26, summaries of all the winners will be posted on the JustRite blog. Good luck to everyone and enjoy all the JustRite eye candy along the hop!

Today during the JustRite Mega March Blog Hop (Day One) JustRite and its sponsors will be giving away the following five prizes:

· $200 JustRite Shopping Spree
· $100 Spellbinders Shopping Spree
· $100 Stampers Dream Shopping Spree, and
· Two additional $100 JustRite Shopping Sprees!

Blog comments for Day One will be open until Thursday at 6pm EST. On Friday, JustRite will announce on their blog which five blogs have the mystery candy for Day One. You will need to go to the JustRite blog to determine where you need to go to find out if you are one of the five lucky winners.

Have fun! Thanks for stopping by!
