What a fantastical day--First, my sweet SCS friend, Cindy Haffner, was selected for the dirty dozen. For those of you who don't know, the dirty dozen is a group of people who do outstanding work and are selected to design for a special gallery on SCS (http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/). Congrats Cindy----I am so happy for you!
Next, I received an honorable mention for my journal project from THE Nichole Heady (Papertrey Ink) for her monthly Gueststar Stamper competition. (http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/2007/12/honorable-menti.html) There were such beautiful projects highlighted on her blog today and I was overjoyed to be in the company of such superstars!
Finally, my mother-in-law is here for her Christmas visit and her gift to me----a new Singer sewing machine...so funny! I cannot sew AT ALL but she gave me a lesson today and had me sewing (on cardstock!!!) in no time!
I have a quick card to share---was in the birthday mood and I thought a little bling might be in order!
Materials: Stamps--My Favorite Things (Make a Wish); Cardstock--white, choc chip, SU dp; ribbon (SU!), Copic markers; circle scallop punch (SU!); stickles-gold (Ranger); gemstones (? cannot find the package right now but will list when i do!).
Just a fun card!
