Super Mom; Not so Super Underwear

Well....the house sale fell through (insert sad face here)----apparently the inspector didn't like my underwear---!!!! It actually came down to two hours before the agreement of sale was up and the buyers came back with this list from the inspector (that included nothing major whatsoever--it included things like repaint small crack, or caulk around doorbell)...and the buyers were trying to get even more out of us even though we had already given them all they asked for.....so we didn't bite. They just weren't the right people for this house.

Sigh....back to being militant about the house cleaning...fun!

But now for some FUN STUFF----the Kindred Spirits stamps from Gina K. Designs, are now available! Woohoooo!!!

Here is another stamp that Gina designed for this line. This stamp cracks me up---I love her! What an fantastic way to let a person know she is awesome--make her a superhero!

This is modeled after me, of course (haha!) I stamped the super mom and then colored her with my Prismacolor pencils and cut her out. She is popped out over the sky that I created by sponging craft white ink over blue cardstock. I love the soft look this gives to the clouds.

The sentiment was stamped using the super from the sentiment set that goes with these images. The Mom stamp is another one from the set.

Materials used: Kindred spirits image and sentiments (Gina K Designs); cardstock-brilliant blue, white, real red, blue (Stampin' Up!); ink -brilliant black, real red (SU!); white embossing powder; versamark; heat tool; white craft ink (SU!); sponge; red gingham ribbon (Offray); circle punches (SU!); star punches (SU!); white brads (The Paper Studio); paper piercing tool; mat pack (SU!); dimensionals (SU!).

Thanks for stopping by!

I am in your shoes with our house up for sale too! I cannot imagine going that far--2 hours before and the deal falls through.
We have been sitting since Aug and no offers, just lookers.
I can relate with heart on the militant house cleaning daily! It gets old! I am staying steadfast that God will bring us the right buyer in HIS time.
waiting is not easy!

Oh, Cammie! I'm so sorry the house deal fell through. So disappointing. It will sell again, and next time it will be to the RIGHT people.

Cammie so sorry to hear about the sale of your home. But I agree, they were the wrong people for your home. Those are VERY minor details..It is not like they had to have carpet, floor or a roof replaced...They were just not the right people. Hugs, and you will find the right people for your home.

Love the kindred spirits card, and how you placed the items on the left...cute

Oh golly Carolyn, I'm sorry the house deal didn't work out. Some people just ask too much. Such silly items to be fixed...ugh!

Your card is awesome! Love the cloud background...that is fab!

Sorry the sale fell through... you are right... they weren't the right people for your house. The right person/people will come along. Hope it is soon, so you can move on. Perhaps some Victoria's Secret undies next time.

sorry to hear about the house deal, I've been in your shoes as well, but it didn't quite go that far -I know the frustration. But keep your trust in God he'll send the right ones at the right time. It always happens, it did for us & it turned out to be a blessing! LOVE your card-having her flying with the sky behind is awesome!

Cammie, if the people didn't want the house the way it was, it wasn't meant to be, and something better will come along :) Don't get discouraged - everything will eventually work out :)
Very cute card - aren't we all super moms anyway? *smirk*

Adorable card -- and the coloring and clouds look great!

I'm sorry to hear the sale didn't go through. We're in the same boat trying to sell some real estate...the deal fell through just five days before escrow was to close. But the right buyers WILL come along, right?!

Sorry the house fell through, but I agree with other posters...I think the inspector just wants an excuse to come back to see what's in the dryer again. {wink}

Your card is ROCKIN', lady! Love, love, LOVE everything about it. :)

I ordered this super Mom too this morning, she is my favorite and she's called Naomi which is my daughter's name so I couldn't resist! ;-)

All joking aside, the stamp really does look like it could have been designed for you! Sorry about the house deal falling through...seems a lot of people are all into the hype of getting such a great 'deal' on a house with the way the market is in some areas that they don't want to pay what a house is actually worth, kwim? Good for you guys for holding your ground...it'll sell!

I am so sorry about the sale, Carolyn! How frustrating! I have been there (3 years ago, actually), and feel your pain!!!

This card is great, I like that you did white on blue for the clouds instead of the opposite, it looks terrific! I love this new line, and I think the reveal was nothing short of brilliant!

I'm so sorry your house sale fell through! We're trying to get ours listed in the next couple weeks, it's been pretty stressful trying to juggle everything - I am so not looking forward to having to keep in clean while it's on the market!! How is that even possible with a toddler and a newborn?? Well anyway I hope another buyer comes through for you soon!

That layout and color combo is so perfect for a supermom!!! Now I regret leaving that one out of my order for now!! Well, next order!! LOL I'm so sorry about the house......we're in an opposite problem with the homeowners we're buying from wanting us to replace the roof that failed inspection plus the full price of their house!! Oh well.......I guess we're back to looking. But you're right....it's just not the right thing yet!! Hang in there....the right people WILL come along and you'll know!!! Hugs!!

Sorry about the sale.. but your buyer is out there.. hang in there Cammie. The card is adorable. I can think of a few gals who should get one of these. I love the sponging to create the clouds.

I agree with you...they were not the right buyers for your home. These ups and downs are rough so take extra time to pamper yourself.
Go to a GREAT restaraunt, have a wonderful dinner, dessert, coffee and wash down all you "downs" with lots of wine! LOL. Your card is
S-U-P-E-R, pun intended. You did a wonderful job. TFS.

Oh no to come that close and have it fall through...I'm so bummed for you Cammie but hang in there, I'm sure the right people will come along shortly and it will be smooth sailing from there!

Another great card...so lovin' this whole line of stamps and everything you're all doing with them!

Oh Cammie...I'm so sorry the deal fell through on the house. Just know that there will be a better one that will come along! Plus...this will give you another chance to see if a different inspector will, indeed, fold your underwear! :)
