So, I thought a visual might be helpful. I used a clear box (clearbags.com--they are item number FB53 (dimensions 4 7/8 inches by 2 inches by 6 5/8 inches) but you can use ANY clear box you have. The results will be the same, just the opening will be larger or smaller.
The clear boxes come in an envelope and they are flat (as seen below). So, I simply cut the box in half. Note: You can measure and draw a line with pencil if you want to make sure it is a perfectly straight line...but I usually just eyeball it!
Here is the box cut in half. You can make two treat containers with each clear box.
Here is the box after I assembled it (folded up the bottom and constructed the box!)
