yummmmm...........Halloween is just around the corner and My Favorite Things has a few new sets that are Spook-tacular!
This treat holder features the new set called Monster Squad (MFT Presents Stephanie Fizer), which will be available in the store tonight! Check out my previous post for all the details on the release party (Wednesday night from 9-11 p.m.)
To create this, I simply took a clear card box (you can find them at clearbags.com) and when it was lying flat, I cut the box in half. Then I assembled half of the box and decorated it. Using a cropadile, I punched holes in the sides to thread braided hemp through. Then, I tied ribbons along the hemp.
The house is paper pieced from some fun Halloween paper. I created the "fence" simply by using my slit punch from Stampin' Up! to create the scalloped piece and then I added the post marks with a white gel pen. I created smoke coming from the house by cutting a thin strip of black cardstock and then cutting it in half and rolling it around my pencil.
Finally, I attached some designer paper inside of the box.
Then just add candy!
Materials used: Stamps-Monster Squad (My Favorite Things); clear card box (clearbags.com); designer paper (Pinecone Press and unknown); black cardstock (SU!); brillance black ink; Copic markers; white gel pen (Ranger); hemp; Cropadile; assorted ribbons; circle punches (SU!); dimensionals (SU!).
