Spooky Projects!

Here are two projects I created with the Spooky Silhouettes set from Gina K Designs. The first is a treat wrapper. This was super easy to do!

I just filled a clear bag (clearbags.com or SU!) with some candy corn and folded it over. Then I created the band with a strip of black cardstock (adhering the band by overlapping it and taping it on the front side). Then I created the little circle piece to add on top.

I stamped the image on white cardstock. Then I cut out the circle using a round Nestability die (so I could like the image up perfectly in the center). Then I inked the "treat" word from the trick or treat sentiment and stamped it around the border. I sponged the edges with more mustard ink and then I added the little purple and orange rhinestones!

Materials used: Stamps-Spooky Silhouettes (Gina K Designs); clear bag (clearbags.com); cardstock-white, black (Stampin' Up!); ink-Brilliance black, More mustard (Stampin' Up!); rhinestones (Gina K Designs); circle Nestability dies (Spellbinders); Cuttlebug (provocraft); Dimensionals (SU!).

And here is a card I created with the same set. I love these silhouetted images---so easy to make a card FAST! I created a mask for the moon and they brayered over the white cardstock with Night of Navy (Tip: I did not want it to be too dark, so I ran my brayer over a piece of scrap paper before running it over this one.)

I cut out the circle with my Nestability circle and then stamped the silhouetted images over it. Then, I cut out a larger white circle. On the larger circle I stamped the spider web from Happy Haunting.

The background is created simply by adding score lines with my Scor-Pal! (Tip: If you are planning to add a sentiment to the background that you are scoring--make sure to leave an unscored area for a smooth stamping surface).

I finished up this card with the embossed sentiment and the fun ribbon.

Materials used: Stamps-Spooky Silhouettes, Happy Haunting (Gina K Designs); cardstock-white, black (Stampin' Up!); ink-Brilliance black, Night of Navy (Stampin' Up!); white embossing powder; Versamark; Heat tool; Ribbon (Spooky Collection-My Favorite Things); Scor-Pal; dimensionals (SU!).

I wish it was the right time for us to buy the set as I lost my grandfather (who rasied me) in October from complications of Alzheimers. What a wonderful thing you are doing. September is a very busy month with Nationl Alzheimer's awareness day and Childhood cancer awareness day (9/13). Both of which are near and dear to me (DD4 was dx with cancer 9/20/2008). Thanks for all you do!
