I Have no Shame

Hi everyone! It is nice to be back. It was a hectic few days traveling for the Thanksgiving holidays but we are all settled back at home again and school resumes again today (woohoo!)

Seems like Christmas is just around the corner and there are so many things to do so I cannot promise how good I will be at blogging but I will certainly pop in with things when I can.

Today, I wanted to share a card I did for our weekly CCEE challenge. We originally were going to take the month of December off but then a few decided to create a few challenges for whoever wants to play. Since I had a little bit of time today, I was able to play along. The easy challenge this week was to create a card with blue on it and you also must use brads.

Here is mine:
I used the Gina K Designs set Warm and Cozy Christmas. I adore this fella. I colored the image with Copic markers and matted it on a scalloped red circle. The designer paper is from October Afternoon and I thought it was perfect for this challenge. To accent the snowflakes on the dp, I added some Spellbinders snowflakes on top of a few of them and accented each of them with a red crystal sticker.

I also used the Pure Luxury cardstock and ribbon (Gina K Designs) on this card. Crystal stickles were added to the snow by the boy's feet so it has a nice sparkle. The final detail is the little mini candy cane. Honestly, I added this so that my kids would tell me that they loved the card. I am a bit rusty since I took a few days off so I went for the easy "Hooray" from the judges! What can I say---I have no shame!! It worked!

Materials used: Stamps- Warm and Cozy Christmas (Gina K Designs); Memento Tuxedo Black ink; cardstock-very vanilla, real red (Stampin' Up!); Pure Luxury 80 lb cs (Gina K Designs); Designer paper - Tinsel-October Afternoon; ribbon- Pure Luxury holiday assortment (Gina K Designs); Copic markers; Crystal stickers (Mark Richards); brads (The Paper Studio); Spellbinders Snowflake Wonder dies; Circle and scalloped circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders); Cuttlebug (Provocraft); Crystal stickles; corner rounder punch (Creative Memories); dimensionals (SU!); paper piercing tool and mat pack (SU!); candy cane.

You can see all the cards by the other CCEE gals HERE!
Thanks for stopping by!
