Gina K Preview Day 2

Hello! Welcome to the second night of Gina K Previews! Hope you had fun hopping along last night.

Tonight the team is previewing Purrr-fectly Delightful (by Theresa) and Square Pegs (by Melanie).

When I first heard Theresa was illustrating a cat stamp set, I had mixed feelings. I am really allergic to cats so I tend to not gravitate toward images of them. However, I just feel in love with her illustrations--they are darling. I had a blast working with this set and I am happy give this set the Allergy-Free Seal of Approval!

I created this card using Purrr-fectly Delightful:I chose to use the little kitty in a cup because there is something just too cute about his face. Theresa draws the cutest realistic images.

I stamped the kitty on white cardstock and colored him with Copics and Prismacolor pencils. I cut him out and then attached him on the tea cup, that I stamped on green cardstock and hightlighted with a Copic marker. I punched a heart with some dp to cover the flowers in the corner of the cup just to give it a different look.
I used some jute to tie around the bottom of the image panel to kind of represent a ball of yarn that would get tangled up by a kitten. I also mimicked that in the background with the strips of October Afternoon cardstock.

Materials used: Stamps-Purrr-fectly Delightful (Gina K Designs); Memento black ink; Copic markers; Prismacolor pencils; cardstock-white, creme de menthe, ocean mist (Gina K Designs); border punch (Martha Stewart); Extra jumbo heart punch (Marvy); designer paper-Farm Fresh (October Afternoon); Jute (Gina K Designs); corner rounder punch (Creative Memories).

I know the feeling; I'm so allergic to cats that I just don't get too excited about cats as a rule. But the two images I've seen so far are just SO SO CUTE...and as you said - non-allergenic...

Very cute card...I often read too much into things, but I "see" that the kitty who is so "sweetly" sitting in the cup has been a very busy kitty recently! Looks like she has been playing in mama's quilting strips & twine! Too cute!

What a great card! I don;t think we are allergic but we are definitely a dog family rather than a cat. That stamp set would be the only cat allowed at our house. LOL! Hope you have a wonderful day!

I luv the "kitty in the cup" that Theresa made. I am known as the CAT LADY of our neighborhood. I buy almost every cat stamp I find and am excited to get this one. You did a great job, Theresa!
