Welcome to my blog

Removed for Publication

Well, this is my first post on this blog...I have no idea what I am doing yet but hopefully this process will become a lot easier with time.

I wanted to post this card first because it was my favorite card I made this week. The stamps are by My Favorite Things and the set is called By the Seashore. Since the beach is one of my favoritest places, I really wanted to capture that peaceful feeling in a card. I used my creative memories cutting system to create the opening of the card. A circle punch was used to punch the sun out of yellow cs and i edged it with with mustard ink. All the cute details are stamps that are included in the set...soo adorable! You will love playing with these as much as I do.

The backgrounds are stamped with Stampin' Up! flannel plaid and weathered backgrounds. The waves are just peices of cardstock that are ripped to give the feel of crashing waves...I edged each one with white craft ink. Finally, I added the hemp tie across the front to finish off the card.

Hope you like it!

Bear with me on this blogging thing...I will learn eventually.

ooh, so glad you're blogging now! I love this card, the BEST I've seen by far with this set!!! It looks SO real (it should be framed for an art piece in a beach scene room)

YAY! You did it! I am so glad you decided to blog. I don't have a blog but I read a gazillion of them. I will definately be one of your readers. And don't worry no pressure! Seriously, You made me laugh so much at the PTI release party. Having said that I never have expectations of peoples blogs, I just enjoy them for what they are and gain inspiration from them. Plus if someone doesn't post for days or weeks...oh well...I just keep checking back. This is for you and I am just so happy we can share it with you! Have a great weekend.

I love this card. I just relocated from Oregon to Utah, and this card reminds me of the Oregon coast in the summer. I especially like all the texture with the ripped paper waves and hemp...thanks for sharing.
