Flowering Friendship

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday...

Nope. Tooth issue still unresolved. Going again today....sigh!

On to something fun---Here is a peek at a new set from Flourishes, called Nasturtiums...

Stamper's Dream store will be carrying this set and the other new Flourishes releases at 10 p.m. CST Friday night!!! I stamped the flowers in versamark and embossed them in gold on watercolor paper. I did this twice so I could pop some of the leaves and flowers up on foam tape. I water colored the flowers with SU! reinkers and a paint brush. I cut out the flowers in an oval shape by tracing the inside of an oval Spellbinders die and then cutting it out so I could leave some detail outside the edges. Then I framed the flowers with a gold scalloped oval (Spellbinders). Check out Michelle's store for a great selection of the new Spellbinders dies!

I used my Scor-Pal to create a nice embossed grid on the background white layer.

I framed them in gold and added the little sentiment in the set on a tag to attach it to the main panel. I added a touch of gold to the edges of the tag with a Zigpainty pen. The cording and ribbon are both from May Arts. You can find tons of awesome May Arts ribbon HERE!

Materials used: Stamps-Nasturtiums (Flourishes); watercolor paper; Versamark; gold embossing powder (SU!); heat tool; Memento tuxedo black ink; SU reinkers; paintbrush; gold cardstock (SU!); gold cord (May Arts); ribbon (May Arts); Gold Zigpainty pen; Fiskars Lace corner punch; gold eyelet; gold brad (SU!); tag punch (SU!); Spellbinders oval and circle Nestabilities; Cuttlebug (Provocraft); foam mounting tape.

Keeping it short until I feel better. Thanks for all of your prayers. I am going away this weekend on a trip to the beach with all of my sisters so I hope that I get some relief soon so I can actually enjoy the trip.

Have a great day!

Thanks for stopping by!

Yikes! So sorry to hear that you're still having tooth problems ... maybe being at the beach with your sisters will distract you? Hope so!

Cammie, your nasturtiums are the loveliest I've seen. So delicate and exquisitely colored. Have you tried a water pick on the gum area surrounding the naughty tooth?

Cammie - what a beautiful card. The gold accent on the nasturtiums is so elegant. It makes the yellow and orange POP. I love it. I hope you get relief soon; don't let it wait. You want to have fun this weekend. Not that it will help, but when I was waiting for 2 dentists to make up their mind - one said root canal, the other said absolutely not, I went to my sisters - in MO (I live in CA), and the pain started again - omg - not while I'm on vacation. Aleve helped me through - I popped one when I woke up and one 12 hours later, and I made it through the week. When I got home I had that root canal. Best dentist I ever had luckily - no pain. She was amazing. I wish you the same luck! Of course, no root canal if not necessary...

Hey Cammie! I KNOW I am getting this stamp set. I have a special love for nasturtiams! They are the first flowers that I ever grew as a "married wife and mom with a garden", back 18 years ago!

AND to this day, my favorite flower to grow in my flower beds! Did you know that you can eat the petals and leaves in salads? They are wonderfully peppery and my kids even go out and eat them!

It is a wonder that they grow at all!

Thanks for sharing this, I am so going to get it!

I had to have a tooth implant last year and I know exactly what you are going through. Feel better and enjoy your sister getaway!
