Holy Wow...only a few days left until Christmas is here! If you are like me---->you still have lots left to do.
Confession: I actually leave most of the wrapping and final touches for this week on purpose. I love to put on Christmas music and wrap and watch holiday movies. Really gets me in the holiday spirit.
Speaking of holidays.....I LOVE angels. I collect them in all shapes and sizes. I was looking at my tree and was thinking that it just might be time for a new tree topper. So, I used some supplies I already had in the house and made this: A little tree topper angel (or angel decoration) made of a paper machie cone (that I bought awhile ago intending to create a tree with it!) and a Styrofoam ball (painted with Ivory acrylic paint) for the head. The head is attached to the body with a thin dowel and some Helmar Acid Free Glue.
I used some fun thick felt snowflakes I found at the dollar store to design the wings, layering them to achieve more dimension. I added pearls and rhinestones all over her wings and body so she really sparkles.
The halo was created using a stick pin and clear shrink plastic. I punched a circle from the plastic (because it is almost invisible and thick enough to support pearls). I added some beads on after the clear circle and then stuck it into the top of the angel (ouch!)
I added some pearls all around the halo.
The patterned paper on this angel is from Echo Park Paper.

Gorgeous tree topper. Your tree will be perfect. I don't really try to leave me wrapping until the last week; but it usually happens that way! LOL! Have a wonderful week!
WAAAY too cute!! I love that the wings are snowflakes!!
TFS Cammie! I want lots of angels for my mantel so maybe I can make a little set with different sizes.
Your angel is wonderful -- how inspired to use the snowflakes for her wings!
