Happily Ever After

Hi there! I have a simple card to share today.   I made this card for my husband for our anniversary:

I used some SRM stickers-(We've Got Your Sticker- Forever), a Jillibean Soup journaling sprout and some corrugated cardboard birds to make this simple greeting.  The zigzag SRM sticker (We've Got Your Sticker Plus- Birdie!) kind of reminds me of a heart beat behind the love birds  :p

Have a great day!

The Twinery and My Little Shoebox Blog Hop

Hello! Welcome to The Twinery and My Little Shoebox blog hop event.  All week, designers from both teams will be showcasing these products together.  I just know you will be inspired by all the wonderful things everyone came up with to share with you.

You should have come here from My Little Shoebox blog.  If not, and you want to start at the beginning, head on over to The Twinery blog!

Here are a few cards I made to share today.   LOVE:  The first card was created by folding the round scalloped Lovely Day-Flower Ring Circle paper in half and then cutting it in half the other way and trimming the side.  I used several flower stickers from Lovely Day to add along the top of the card and then I added the large flower (that I made by stacking two Happy Go Lucky 3D Roll Up flowers).  Each of the smaller flowers has a small twine circle layer in the center (Pink Sorbet, Buttercreme).   I added some Buttercreme yellow inside the larger flower.  The labels (Lovely Day Sticker sheet, and Lovely Day New Story) are stacked up to create the background for the sentiment.  I inked all the edges of the card with Distress ink.

HI:  The next card uses more stickers from Lovely Day. I layered the stickers over the patterned paper (Lovely Day: Let the Sun Shine) and ran some Charcoal and Pink Sorbet baker's twine up and over the layer to "hang" the birdcages.   I also used some Honeydew baker's twine to add a bow under the sentiment stickers (Lovely Day Cardstock sticker). I cut some Happy Go Lucky: All A Bloom paper to add some fun to the bottom of the card.  To complete the card, rounded the top corner and added some colorful rhinestones to the centers of the little flowers.

ALL You NEED IS LOVE:  Finally the last card I made uses some Happy Go Lucky: Ride Along paper.   I cut the adorable little couple from Happy Go Lucky: Out and About paper.  I punched the heart form the coordinating red paper (Lovely Day: Raspberry).  I popped up the cloud stickers (Lovely Day Stickers) and then created grass by wrapping the Honeydew baker's twine over the green coordinating paper (Happy Go Lucky:Cricket).  I stapled a few of the edges to keep them all in line:

Hope you enjoyed these cards. I LOVED playing with My Little Shoebox paper this week.  I especially love that they include coordinating solid sheets of paper for their collections!  What fun designs and what a great match for The Twinery baker's twine!

He's All That - Cardmaker Blog Hop

Hello! Welcome to another Cardmaker Blog Hop.  This month the team's blog hop theme is He's All That---masculine cards that can be for father's day, birthday, thank you, etc.

We all know what a challenge it can be to create a striking masculine design so I am especially excited to see what my awesome teammates came up with today.

Here is my father's day card:
I used some of my favorite supplies for this card and really like how they all complimented each other.  I used the Silhouette file Father and Son (Snapdragon Snippets LLC ) for the main image. (Love it!) The paper/sticker is by Echo Park: This & That: Charming collection.  I used a SRM sticker from Express Yourself-Father's Day along the bottom of the card.  The fun background paper was highlighed with some SU! Magic Mesh (remember that stuff?  I still have some!)  Finally, I added some Cappuccino baker's twine (The Twinery) that I wrapped around the card and then used my Tiny Attacher (Tim Holtz) stapler to secure in place.  All of the elements were sponged with some Tea Dye Distress ink (Ranger.)

Hope you like it!

You are My Sunshine

Hello! Happy Tuesday! My kids are finishing up their last week of school---summer vacation is now in sight :)  Woohoo!
Today I am sharing a project I had featured on the SRM Stickers blog yesterday.  A cute summer card and coordinating tube.

For the treat part, I used a skinny tube and altered it by using a chipboard shape I had lying around (Little Yellow Bicycle) and adding the sentiment up the trunk. I added a heart shaped button to mimic the cinnamon hearts I filled the tube with.

For the card, I altered a silhouette shape I found for the sun beams then framed the sentiment in a sun shape and stitched around it. I used SRM Sticker Sentiments- Summer (#51011).

Gina K Designs Inspiration Hop Day 3

*This is my second post of the day.  If you are looking for The Twinery/Rubbernecker Hop, look below this post!

The Design Team for Gina K. Designs welcomes you to another fabulous Inspiration Blog Hop!!! As you hop through the blogs, make sure to leave a comment on each of them because we will choose a few random comments and those stampers will each win a grab bag of deeply etched, pre-cut Gina K. Designs stamps! To see the full list of winners check the Big News forum at Stamp TV a couple of days after the hops!!

Today the Gina K Design team are sharing projects created with these new releases:  Hello Sunshine StampTV kit, Birthday Greetings and the New One Free with 3- Life's a Beach.
I used the pre-cut Rubber sets for my samples but Gina K IS NOW OFFERING you a choice of Deeply Etched Rubber or Clear for the stamp sets!

Just like most of you---I am positively swamped this time of the year.  My card making time is literally an hour or two a week.  We are running from one sport to another, to ballet, to graduations, birthday parties, etc.  But....I have a real NEED for cards during this time of year.  So, when I saw the new Stamp TV kit- Hello Sunshine- I had an idea.

I thought that if I could make a clean and simple card that lent itself to many different occasions, I might be able to mass produce it so that I can use it for birthdays, sympathy cards, thank you notes.  And that is just what I did!  Here is the card I created:
I started with Pure Luxury white cardstock.  I  stamped the large flower with Rose Bud Memento dew drop ink and then stamped off the image on a post it note.  I layered the post it over the flower to stamp the stem in Cottage Ivy dew drop ink on an angle, as shown.  Then, I took a black artist pen and drew a line across the bottom.  Finally, I stamped the sentiment above the line.
I rounded the bottom two corners and added a black pearl to the center of the flower.  Truly...simple.
To make this card a simple-to-make and easy-to-mail card---you can add a flat black metal dot to the center of the flower.

Here is a set of cards. Note: I left the sentiment off the ones lying down so I can add the appropriate one before mailing:

Now head on over to these blog's to see some beautiful creations made with these sets:

The Twinery and Rubbernecker Blog Hop

Hello---Welcome to The Twinery and Rubbernecker Blog Hop! You should have come from Amazing Bev's blog!  If not, you might want to start the hop at the beginning so you don't miss a thing!

For my card today, I used the Rubbernecker set "Butterflies are Free."  I love the beautiful scripted sentiments in this set and all the different butterfly choices.  I chose to stamp one on vellum and place it right above the sentiment.  To embellish the card, I used some Cantaloupe baker's twine to tie sections of my seam binding ribbon.
I used some Pink Sorbet baker's twine to thread through a button to add some color.  I also wrapped some baker's twine in Cantaloupe, Pink Sorbet and Shore to add to the center of the flowers to give them some fun dimension:

What's a Blog Hop without blog candy?  Leave a comment on ALL of the blogs on the hop by 11:59pm EDT, Friday, June 8th to be entered to win these Prizes:  The "I Dream in Twine" Sampler Pack (retail value of $32) or a $25 Gift Certificate from Rubbernecker stamps:

The next stop on the hop is the talented Charlene's blog!  Enjoy!

Today the Gina K Design team are sharing projects created with these new releases: Stately Flowers 4 and Ticket Trio.  I used the pre-cut Rubber sets for my samples but Gina K IS NOW OFFERING you a choice of Deeply Etched Rubber or Clear for the stamp sets! Love having a choice!

Here are my samples:
The first card uses Stately Flowers 4. I love all the gorgeous flower/greeting combinations in this set. I stamped the flower with Memento tuxedo black ink and colored it with Copic markers:

Next, I have a card using Ticket Trio.  I used this set in a different way....I kept looking at the stamps and seeing the tickets as doors and windows.  So, I folded cardstock over and then just cut the top like a house.  Then covered it with paper and stamping:

Check out all the amazing inspiration on these blogs:
