Cardmaker Blog Hop- Graceful Leaves

Hello!  Welcome to another Cardmaker Blog Hop.  This month's theme is Graceful Leaves---cards celebrating the first day of autumn with leaves in golden colors.  Here is my card:

Yippee! I love fall!

For this card I used the the Gina K Design's set Fall Foliage (that was a stretch, I know!) and created the leafy background using all the beautiful leaves in the set.  I combined inks to get a beautiful combination of fall colors--just like we are starting to see here in PA :)
Here are the inks I used for the leaves:  Memento Morocco, Memento Dandelion, Memento Cottage Ivy, Memento Rhubarb Stalk, VersaMagic Gingerbread dew drop, Antique Linen Distress Ink (Ranger).
To keep with the fall theme...I backed the sentiment with a scrap piece of burlap to add texture.

I cannot wait to see what the rest of the team came up with!  Are you ready for some autumn inspiration?  Check out these blogs:

Another Gina K Inspiration Hop!

Hello!  Today is another Gina K Designs inspiration hop!  The team is back for another day with projects  using the newest release from Gina K Designs.  Be sure to  to leave a comment on each of the blogs today because we will choose a few random comments and those stampers will each win a grab bag of deeply etched, pre-cut Gina K. Designs stamps! To see the full list of winners check the Big News forum at Stamp TV a couple of days after the hops!!

Today the design team is using the new Stamp TV kit--Sun Kissed Autumn and  Fall Foliage (One free with 3! set) on our projects.   Here is my card using Sun Kissed Autumn:
I kid you not---there are a bazillion stamps in this Stamp TV kit. (Ok, that might be a slight exaggeration!)  I totally was losing my mind just trying to pick a few of them to use on my card for today.  I ended up using 6--- the row of trees, the owl, the sentiment and three line art leaves that I stamped randomly in the background.  And...there are so many more stamps.

Fall cards

Hi everyone! Wow...still reeling here---->we had our first snow yesterday. Yes...snow. The kids were excited and we learned exactly what winter clothes we still need :)

Today I have two simple cards to share that I made a little bit ago. These were two of the first cards I made with my Silhouette.

The first is a fall card using some Echo Park paper and the beautiful leaf design by Lori Whitlock. You can find it here: Flourish Maple Leaf. I used some Echo Park alphabet stickers to add the sentiment and a bit of Twinery ribbon and a button to finish it off: The second is a cute little Halloween card (whew...just getting this one in before it is over!) The background paper is from Echo Park Apothecary Emporium. Sentiment is by SRM stickers--We've Got Your Sticker- Treats! The spider is another Silhouette file.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a warm/GREAT day!

Many Thanks...

Hello!!! I am painfully aware that my blogging time is almost over (...for awhile anyway!) The packers will be coming in a few short weeks and I have to start packing up my beloved stamp room soon (especially the things I want to be sure are packed with care!) Sniff.
But....until I have to stop...I will keep sharing a few more creations-- :)

Today I have a thanks card to share...

I did some paper piecing of the leaves using lots of different patterned papers to get the falling leaves design on this card:

I embossed the sentiment in white and then stitched along the edge to coordinate with the sentiment. I finished this card with some walnut seam binding.

Stamps are from Floral Wreath and A Year of Leaves, both from Gina K Designs.

I just love paper piecing!!!
