JustRite Christmas Treasures

HI everyone! Another soggy/stormy day here---sigh! (I am contemplating building an ark!)
It is, however, a great day to create...

Here is a card I made with the beautiful JustRite Christmas Treasures set:

Here is a view from the side so you can see that the front panel is cut to frame the sentiment:
I colored the image with Copic markers and sponged some bashful blue ink around the perimeter of the circle. (Still haven't bought an airbrush system because I am not convinced that I need one!)
The front design was created by using my Spellbinders circle and scalloped circle dies.
I added some more of the Prism Nautical blue cardstock that I used on the front on the inside. Designer paper is from my scrap bin.
You can find a great selection of JustRite stamps and PRISM cardstock at Stamper's Dream!
Materials used: Stamps-Christmas Treasures (JustRite Stampers); Memento black ink, bashful blue ink (SU!); sponge; Copic markers; cardstock-white (Gina K Designs), Nautical blue light (Prism); designer paper-scrapbin-Ghostly Greetings (SU!), unknown (SU!); Anna Griffin die cut shapes (Peyton Collection); hemp; Spellbinders circle and scalloped circle dies; Cuttlebug (Provocraft);

You melt MY heart

Hi everyone! Thank you so much for all your emails and comments--I feel very blessed to have such a supportive network of stamping friends as well as an AMAZING family. Last week my two girls got the flu and then I had some bad asthmatic nights from all the sickness going around and the very wet conditions here. Thankfully we were all well enough in time to enjoy some time with my husband before he left.

I know we will get through the next 7 months (or so!) and I KNOW that all of your prayers and well wishes are helping. Please continue to keep my kids in your prayers as the reality slowly sets in for them.

Over the past week, I chose not to spend any time blogging but I did make a few cards while my husband was out and about and the kids were in school.

Here is a card I created for the Moxie Fab Gradient is Radiant challenge. I wanted to represent gradient color in a different way than using cardstock or ink....so the gradient part of my card is the fun sun I created with ribbons. I selected ribbons in white, yellows (3) and orange to create the sunbeams.

I used Warm Winter Wishes set from Gina K Designs on this card.....and I played off the snowman and "You melt my heart" stamps by creating a fun sun to go with them.

I chose to stamp the snowman from the set without his hat and so I just rubbed the ink off the hat after I inked the stamp up and then drew in the top of his head after I stamped. EASY. I used a piece of ribbon for his scarf (just adhering it right over the stamped scarf!)

I stamped the sentiment in two colors---easily done by inking the whole stamp in pumpkin ink and then taking a black marker and going over the "You" and "my heart" part.

Finally, I stitched the little hills for some more fun texture and added some orange stickles to his carrot nose.

Materials used: Stamps-Warm Winter Wishes (Gina K Designs); ink-memento black, black stampin write marker (SU!), pumpkin ink (SU!); cardstock-white (Gina K Designs), iced cobalt (Prism); various ribbons (SU, May Arts!, Offray); sewing machine; circle punch (SU!); Spellbinders scalloped rectangle die; Cuttlebug (Provocraft); corner rounder punch (Creative Memories); Copic markers; orange stickles (Ranger); stapler.

Hope it makes you smile!

JustRite Week at Stamper's Dream

Hello! Happy Monday!
This week Stamper's Dream is featuring the newest JustRite stamps on their blogs. Today, I am showing you a card I created with Thinking of You Borders & Centers Oval, a set filled with beautiful, heartfelt sentiments.
I stamped the sentiment on white cardstock (Prism) and then instead of using an oval shape to cut it out...I used a scalloped circle die (Spellbinders) to punch out the sentiment.
I layered it over one of the new Spellbinders pendant die--Fleur de Lis. The top design was created with the Arch Lattice Edge Punch by Martha Stewart.

The designer paper is from Kaiser Craft and the blue cardstock is from Island Mist from Prism.

If you would to see some more JustRite goodness....head on over to these blogs: Amy, Michelle.

And then head on over to Stamper's Dream to check out all the new JustRite products in the store.

Have a great day!!

Have Faith Hedgie

I love Penny Black stamps---this one is called Asking the Flowers. This fella is just too cute.
I paired this stamp with JustRite Tiny Words & Centers sentiment. Instead of creating a standard card...I decided that it would be cute to create a mini card mounted on a base. So the hedgie part flips up so you can read the inside message.

<---Here is the card opened. For this card, I also used some Prismatics paper- Blush Red Light
and Island Mist Medium
and some fun May Arts ribbon.
The designer paper is from Kaiser Craft called Everblooming.

You can find all the supplies for this card at Stamper's Dream!

And some other fun news---Stamper's Dream now carries Tombow markers. Woohoo! I LOVE trying all types of coloring mediums, so I had to get a few to try them out! I will be posting with them soon!!!!

Picture of Love

Last night I had some time to play around with this adorable Picnic Time Sarah Kay (Stampavie)image. I just love these highly detailed stamps---so much fun to color! I colored this image with Copic markers and cut it out and then framed it using the Spellbinders Labels four set. (BTW--I have been getting LOTS of questions about Copic markers recently ? and just wanted to let you know that I have responded individually if you provided your email address---however, if you post anonymously, I have no way to get back to you to answer a question. I do plan to do another Copic coloring tutorial in another week or two...stay tuned! Hopefully I will be able to address a lot of the questions then!)

The designer paper on this card is by Making Memories. I sponged a bit of Tea Dye Ink (Ranger) on the edges to age it a bit. For the sentiment, I inked only part of a stamp from the Tiny Words & Centers set (JustRite). I framed the sentiment with a Chatterbox Brad -Easy Bradmaker Kit (LOVE this kit!). The final touch is a piece of olive ric rac under the main image.

Check out Stamper's Dream for most of the supplies used to make this card!

Materials used: Stamps-Picnic Time (Sarah Kay for Stampavie), Tiny Words & Centers set (JustRite Stampers); Memento black ink; Ranger Distress Tea Dye Ink; sponge; SU black marker; white cardstock (PRISM); Designer paper--Just Chillin' Girl 6 x 6 paper pack (Making Memories); Copic Markers; Spellbinders Labels Four Nestabilities; Cuttlebug (Provocraft); olive ric rac (May Arts); Easy BradMaker Kit (Chatterbox).

My baby sister is flying in tomorrow with my niece (1) for a week----we are all soo excited! Hope you have a great weekend!!!

Hello! Welcome to Gina K Designs Preview Day 3! Today the design team is showing projects/cards created with the new StampTV kit called Eclectic Summer! I was actually not going to peek this fun fish today but I had to! Look at him looking at me---just begging me to use him. So I paired this fun-tastic image with one of the sentiments in the kit to create a fun whimsical anniversary card/ love card/ valentine! The fun ribbon at the top of the sentiment is just ONE of the fun ribbons that come with the kit. (If you come back tomorrow you will see HOW far this one ribbon went...and it is just one of the many included in the kit!)

I cut out a portion of the swirl cardstock to create fun waves that overlap the card borders.

There is just something about this fish.....

Materials used: Stamps-Eclectic Summer (Gina K Designs); Memento black ink; Copic markers; White cardstock (Gina K Designs); Swirl die cut-Perm Teal-pop culture (K I memories); blue cardstock (PRISM); ribbon (Gina K Designs, Eclectic Summer Stamp TV kit); tag punch (SU!); black and red markers (SU!); paper piercing tool and mat pack (SU!); oval punch (SU!); eyelet (SU!); Cropadile (We R Memory Keepers); dimensionals.

Stamper's Dream Challenge

Hello! Welcome to the Stamper's Dream monthly challenge. This month Tosh chose these colors for us to use on our cards: Blush Red Dark, Island Mist Medium, Birchtone Light. You can accent with either Suede Brown Dark or Ivory.

(Compatible SU colors are: Baha Breeze, Riding Hood and Sahara Sand. )

We also had to use some texture and bling to the cards!

Here is what I came up with for this challenging challenge:

I used the fun Inkadinkado clear stamp set called Gemstone Flowers for the main image. I stamped the flower three times and then popped up one and colored the inside of the flower image.
I lined the inside of each flower center with some multicolored mini rhinestones (Zva Creations). For the center flower, I also added an adhesive metal dot (Michael's).

I used Prismatics Blush Red Dark, Island Mist Medium, Ivory and Suede Brown Dark on this card. Although it is hard to see in the picture, the background Ivory panel is debossed with Impressabilities Flowers (Spellbinders).

<----Here is a view of the card lying down so you can see the dimension. I used a little bit of brown satin May Arts ribbon to add under the main panel (folded under) and under the sentiment. I used part of the Just Rite stamp from the Birthday Wishes set. I only inked the "Enjoy" part of the stamp, stamped it and then punched it out. The dot in the sentiment is also dotted with a crystal.

You can most of the products used to make this card at Stamper's Dream Store!

Materials used: Stamps- Gem Stone Flowers (Inkadinkado), Birthday Wishes (JustRite); ink-riding hood red (SU!); multicolored rhinestone (Zva Creations); glue pen; cardstock-Blush Red Dark, Island Mist Medium, Ivory, Suede Brown dark (Prism); oval punch (SU!); circle punch and scalloped circle punch (SU!); corner rounder punch (Creative Memories); ribbon (May Arts); Flower Impressabilities (Spellbinders); Cuttlebug (Provocraft).

JustRite Week Continues...

Earlier this week I mentioned that the Stamper's Dream team was showcasing JustRite products all week---the newest JustRite stamps are at Stamper's Dream store NOW! That is right---get them at Stamper's Dream first!!!

Today, It is my pleasure to show you two more projects created with the newest release. The first project is a simple cookie sleeve created with Homemade Treats Borders & Centers set. (I learned this design years ago from a Stampin' Up! workshop and it is one I come back to often. You can see how to create the sleeve HERE. ) For this one, I started out with an 8" by 8" piece of designer paper. I used JustRite Homemade Treats Borders & Centers set to create the fun label. After wrapping up a cookie, I added a cut heart from the designer paper (Cosmo Cricket-Chemistry) as a finishing touch. Easy to make AND mass produce!

Materials used: Stamps- Homemade Treats Borders & Centers (Justrite Stampers); ink-ruby red, chocolate chip markers (SU!); ribbon (May Arts); Designer paper - Chemistry (Cosmo Cricket); foam mounting tape.

Next, I wanted to show you a card I created with the new Tiny Words & Centers set. (To use this set, just select the center and the border you wish to use and pop them into the Wooden Stamper and stamp away!)

I don't know about you---but I am ALWAYS searching for good sentiments and I happen to LOVE little circular ones. This set has the CUTEST sentiments---I KNOW I will be using them over and over. I just love this one:
I paired this sentiment with the pup from Our Craft Lounge set--Pat the Dog.
A perfect fit! The image is stamped on Simply Smooth Prism white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. The background blue is also from Prism--Island Mist light.

Materials used: Stamps- Tiny Words & Centers (JustRite), Pat the Dog (Our Craft Lounge); Memento tuxedo black ink; Copic markers; markers-black and red (SU!); Cardstock--white (Prism), Island Mist-light (Prism); designer paper- 3 Bugs in a Rug, The Paper Studio (grid); hardware (SU!); ribbon (SU!).

Want to see some more JustRite Goodness???? Head on over to these SD designer blogs to see the awesome projects they have to share: Cindy , Michelle, Tosha , Kimberly and Denise .

Just Ducky!

I *LOVE* ducks.

I love every duck stamp---so I HAD to have this adorable one called Lovin' & Huggin' by Penny Black. I got it from Stamper's Dream!
The background was created with the Labels I Nestabilities. I die cut one and then cut it down the middle, embossed it and then flipped them so that the flat middle edges were along the edges of the card. (It created the cute border at the top of the card.

The cardstock on this card is by Prism--I used the Orange pack, the accent Orange pack and the Island Mist pack. If you have never used Prism paper--you definitely should try it. It is beautiful and has a lovely subtle texture to it.

I used some Olive ric rac ribbon to line the bottom of the card. Almost everything on this card is from Stamper's Dream. Check it out for a great selection of stamps, ribbon, Spellbinders dies, JustRite products, embellishments, Prism Paper, primas, Cuttlebug folders, etc.

Materials used: Stamps-Lovin' & Huggin' (Penny Black), Expressions clear stamp set (Inkadinkado); Memento tuxedo black ink; Copic markers; Spellbinders circles, scalloped circles, Label I Dies; Cuttlebug; swirl embossing folder (Provocraft); ric rac (May Arts); buttons (SU!); paper piercing tool and mat pack (SU!); oval punches (SU!); corner rounder punch (Creative Memories); hemp; dimensionals.

Acetate Window Card

Hello everyone! Today I wanted to share a fun card I created last night (while watching Twilight!!!)
This card was designed around this cute Penny Black image called Cat on the Moon. I used a piece of acetate in the middle so the image looks like it is floating.
The image is stamped on Neenah cardstock and colored with Copics. I popped up the cat image so that I could dangle his tail below the main circle panel.
I colored and cut out the image, framing it with my Spellbinders die. Then I used a larger circle die to cut the opening in the front designer paper.
I used the same die to cut a circle in the card front. I assembled the card by laying a piece of acetate sandwiched between the designer paper and the card base (Island Mist by Prism). The image panel is adhered to the front of the acetate and the scalloped circle is adhered in the inside.

Very easy and a fun effect.

I used the Easy Brad Maker Kit by Chatterbox to create the center detail of the flower. I simply punched the circle with the smallest circle punch in the kit (THERE ARE THREE CIRCLES that come in this kit!!!) and used one of the clear epoxy crystal stickers over top! I added some fun Olive ric rac ribbon along the top to finish off the card.

Most of the products on this card can be found at Stamper's Dream.

Materials used: Stamp-Cat on the Moon (Penny Black); Memento black ink; Neenah cardstock; dp; Island Mist cardstock (Prism); acetate sheet; ric rac (May Arts); Easy Brad Maker Kit (Chatterbox); adhesive gemstones (dollar store); Prima flower; acetate; Spellbinders circle and scalloped circle dies; Cuttlebug (Provocraft); Copic Markers; dimensionals (SU!); corner rounder punch (Creative Memories).

Sweet friend

Hi everyone! Today, we are headed on a family trip to the Grand Canyon! I am so excited to see a part of the country that I have never seen before. I will not be around for the week to answer questions, etc. I will do my best to respond quickly when I return!

****I do have a *few* posts scheduled to run during the week. *****

I have been wanting to color this little Best Friends Forever Sarah Kay image for awhile. I finally got the chance while I was "cleaning" up my stamp room this week. I colored the image with Copic markers.

I created the brad with this amazing Easy Brad Maker kit by ChatterBox. I don't say this often but **You have to check it out. Definitely one of my favorite things from CHA! The kit includes 8 large brads, 10 medium brads, 14 small brads, 3 punch tools, 1 sheet of self-adhesive epoxy crystals, and 1 sheet of adhesive circles. Very cool indeed!
The designer paper is also by ChatterBox and the cardstock is Suede Brown (Prism) and Spring Willow (Prism)!

You can find all of the products on this card at Stamper's Dream!

Materials used: Stamp- Best Friends Forever (Sarah Kay for Stampavie); Memento black ink; Neenah cardstock; Prism cardstock (Spring Willow and Suede Brown); designer paper (Chatterbox); ricrac; Chatterbox Brad kit; Copic markers; corner rounder punch (CM); dimensionals.

Have a wonderful week!

Gina K Preview Day 3

Hi everyone! Welcome to Day 3 of the Gina K previews. Wooohooo! By now you have seen peeks of all the new sets. Join us at the release party HERE --TONIGHT (Thursday!) from 7-10 p.m. central for full set reveals, more samples, challenges and PRIZES!

Here is a look at the new "Free with Three" set. It is called Wreath of Wishes and it comes with so many adorable sentiments that fit inside the wreath.

This card is pretty simple looking. I stamped the wreath on some Ivory Pure Luxury cs and then colored it with Prismacolor Pencils and Copics. I also stamped the wreath a second time on white cardstock. I colored the full blooms on the white, carefully cut them out and popped them up over the matching flowers on the ivory cs. Each flower has some crystal Stickles on them to make them sparkle.
I finished this card off by cutting out the center of the wreath and adding the sentiment. The mustard panel is one of the cardstock pieces that come in the Floral Frenzy kit. The ribbon is another part of the kit.

Supplies: Stamps-Wreath of Wishes (Gina K Designs); cardstock-ivory, white (Pure Luxury-Gina K Designs); mustard (Prism-from Floral Frenzy kit by Gina K Designs); Memento black ink; Copic markers, Prismacolor pencils; Stickles-crystal (Ranger); Spellbinders circle and scalloped circle Nestabilities; Wizard; dimensionals (SU!); corner punch (CM); lace decorative corner punch (Fiskars) ; ribbon (Gina K Designs).

Next, Here is a peek at Melanie's new set, A Charmed Life. This set is so much fun and is jammed packed with stamps. The main image in this set is a big wine glass. It has many many many sentiments to go with it and also little charm images to hang off the bottom of the glass.

I figured a lot of the team would show you the set for the intended purpose--so I went in another direction. This set can work with many other stamp sets you already own.
For this sample, I used You Know You're Old When (By Gina K Designs) as the main image. I used two sentiments from A Charmed Life and I also added one of the charm images (little die) to the sentiment tag.

I love how these sentiments and charms work so well with the glass---AND also with many other sets. I always have a hard time making humorous/masculine cards and it made this one a piece of cake!

Supplies: Stamps-A Charmed Life, You know you're Old When (Gina K Designs); cardstock-pure lux white base weight and layering weight; Memento black ink; Copic markers; dp-Basic grey, Cosmo Cricket; fiber (Gina K -Floral Frenzy kit); paper piercing tool; tag punch, corner rounder punch (Creative Memories); word window punch (SU!); Cropadile.

If you want to see more projects created with these sets, hop on over to these wonderful blogs: Asela,Donna, Erika, Jessica, Kurtis, Emily, Melanie, Theresa , and Sharri Seffens (*In the Spotlight Designer) and, of course, Gina K!
Also, check out what Melanie's guest designer, Cathy Edgar, did with her set!
