JustRite Week at Stamper's Dream

Hello! It's is JustRite Week at Stamper's Dream this week. Today, we are using the newest JR releases on our cards. I used Joyful Hearts Borders & Centers on both of my cards today:

I stamped the sentiment and left the ink off the "love" so that I could replace it with a Maya Road chipboard love that I colored with an orange Copic marker. This sentiment works so well with all the JustRite botanicals or any fun designer paper you may have.

Materials used: Stamps-Joyful Hearts borders & centers (JustRite), Sending thoughts (Jillibean soup); Memento tuxedo black ink; mini chipboard love (Maya Road); Designer paper- Grandma's Christmas Soup: can tomato soup; Soup Staples: orange sugar; Alphabet Soup: Vegetable Juice (Jillibean Soup); cardstock-creme de menthe, white (Gina K Designs); cork paper; jute twine (Gina K Designs); adhesive rhinestones (Recollections); slit punch (SU!).
Next, I created this simple design using another beautiful sentiment in the set:

Materials used: Stamps-Joyful Hearts Borders & Centers (Justrite Stampers); Memento tuxedo black ink; label punch (SU!); glitter lace hearts (We R Memory Keepers); ribbon (SU!); white cardstock (Gina K Designs); designer paper-Soup staples: blue sugar (Jillibean Soup); corner rounder punch; scallop lattuce border punch (Martha Stewart).

I love the Joyful Hearts sentiments because they work so well alone or complementing other stamps you already have.

Here is the week's schedule:
Monday: Cam , Amy, Laurie and Dawn
Tuesday: Cindy, Denise, Tosh and Michelle
Wednesday: Silke, Cam, Tosh, Michelle
Thursday: Denise, Amy and Laurie
Friday: Dawn, Cindy and Michelle

Lord of the Season Blog Hop

Hi There! The kids and I are loving having some company. What a great diversion for them to have their grandparents here....and adult company is always nice for me!

Tonight, the Gina K Design team is hosting a blog hop featuring the gorgeous new set by Nina called Lord of the Season. I chose to use more funky colors for this card--to illustrate that the images do not have to be used for formal cards only!
I used some of my favorite designer paper from the White Out collection (We R Memory Keepers) to paper piece the tree. I added some fun red dots for ornaments. I inked the edges of the sentiment piece to go with the pop of blue throughout the card.

Materials used: Stamps-Lord of the Season (Gina K Designs); Memento tuxedo black ink, turquoise ink (SU!); sponge; cardstock-pure luxury white (Gina K Designs); Designer paper-White Out Collection (We R Memory Keepers); lattice border punch (Martha Stewart); Corner rounder punch (Creative Memories); Spellbinders scalloped rectangle die; Cuttlebug (Provocraft); ribbon (May Arts); star punch (SU!); red adhesive dots.

Hip to be SQUARE

Hi everyone! Tonight the Gina K Design team is previewing Hip to Be Square (by Melanie Muenchinger) and Lord of the Seasons (Nina Brackett)!

Tonight I used Hip to Be Square. This set has a great square grid design, fun sentiments and cool elements that fit inside. It is a great set to play with. I used it on another card you will see soon!

Here is my first card:

I stamped the grid design over some designer paper and then added the sentiment and the star. The button is from one of the new button assortments Gina is adding to the store on Thursday.

I used black onyx as the base and a matching Prima swirl under the stars. What a fun set!

Fly away Tag

My time on the Splitcoaststampers Dirty Dozen ended in June (shortly before I left for vacation). I am still shocked and honored to have been asked to be on that team. Thank you, Jenn, for the wonderful experience! You rock! Remember to check out the AMAZING DD Gallery this month. (You have to be a fan club member to see it!) The designers all did a fantastic job!

Here is one of the first Dirty Dozen projects I ever created....

Materials-Stamps: Bird-Inkadinkado; Birds in Vines-Flourishes; Weathered bg-SU! ; Paper: Tag (Paper Reflections); cs- white, riding hood red, choc chip ; Ink: Memento tuxedo black; Ranger- Fired Brick, Tea Dye; SU!- banana, more mustard ; Accessories: Flower Soft, Sponge, Copic markers, Embossing powder-black, clear; Versamark, heat tool, May Arts ribbon; hemp, oval punch (SU!), Round tab punch (SU!), Gelly Gems (Gel-a-tins), Jumbo eyelet (SU!), Cropadile (We R Memory Keepers); dimensionals (SU!).

To create this I took a plain white tag (Creative Tags by Paper Reflections) and sponged the entire thing with banana ink (SU!). Then I sponged the outer edges with more mustard ink (SU!). I took my SU! Weathered background and inked it in Ranger Tea Dye ink and stamped over the tag. I used Flourishes, LLC set Bird in Vines for the background flowers. I embossed them in Ranger black embossing powder and then colored the leaves with Copic markers.I used some white Flower Soft on the petals to give them some texture. I stamped the bird on some white cardstock with Memento ink and colored it in with Copic markers. I cut it out, embossed it with clear embossing powder and popped it up on the vine with a dimensional. I stamped the sentiment in Ranger Fired Brick ink. Next, I sponged Ranger Tea Dye ink all over the edges of the tag to create more depth around the edges. The top detail is created by punching the round tab punch (SU!) and layering a red oval punch on top of it and then attaching the jumbo eyelet. I added some Gel-a-tins Gelly gems along the edge of the tab punch. Finally, I added a piece of hemp and some May Arts Ribbon and done!

You can still participate in the Twilight challenge HERE.

You are a Classic

*Note: I am away on vacation. This is an auto-post!

I used the truck from The Journey (Gina K Designs) to create this father's day card. I wanted the front to resemble a cork board with important notes on it.....

The sentiment is from Special Fathers (Gina K Designs).

(Tip: Just leave off the "Happy Father's Day" sentiment on the front for a great birthday card for DAD!)

Here is a look at the inside of the card:

Stamps- Car-The Journey; sentiment-Special Fathers (Gina K Designs);Memento tuxedo black ink; cardstock-blue, white Pure Luxury (Gina K Designs); Cork alphabet stickers (Made for Retail.inc $1 Spot Target); Copic Markers; heart punch (Stampin' Up!); Thin cork sheet; hemp (Hobby Lobby); Metal dots stickers (JoAnn's); Dymo Label buddy; Designer paper-Frenzy-Glee; White Out Collection (We R Memory Keepers).

Gina K Preview Day 3

Hello! Welcome to Gina K Designs Preview Day 3! Today the design team is showing projects/cards created with the new StampTV kit called Eclectic Summer! I LOVE this kit---it has a stamp for EVERY occasion in the summer!!! (AND you know there will be lots of amazing video tutorials on StampTV using it!)

The kit includes: two stamp sets-Eclectic Summer Stamp set and Eclectic Summer Sayings Stamp set; 15 sheets of assorted Pure Luxury cardstock; 12 sheets of assorted Lime Rickey patterned paper; summer brad mix; and summer ribbon mix (lots of ribbon!).

I was actually not going to peek this fun fish today but I had to! Look at him looking at me---just begging me to use him. So I paired this fun-tastic image with one of the sentiments in the kit to create a fun whimsical anniversary card/ love card/ valentine! The fun ribbon at the top of the sentiment is just ONE of the fun ribbons that come with the kit. (If you come back tomorrow you will see HOW far this one ribbon went...and it is just one of the many included in the kit!)

I cut out a portion of the swirl cardstock to create fun waves that overlap the card borders.

There is just something about this fish.....

Materials used: Stamps-Eclectic Summer (Gina K Designs); Memento black ink; Copic markers; White cardstock (Gina K Designs); Swirl die cut-Perm Teal-pop culture (K I memories); blue cardstock (PRISM); ribbon (Gina K Designs, Eclectic Summer Stamp TV kit); tag punch (SU!); black and red markers (SU!); paper piercing tool and mat pack (SU!); oval punch (SU!); eyelet (SU!); Cropadile (We R Memory Keepers); dimensionals.

Gina K Preview Day 1

Happy Memorial Day!!! Today is such a wonderful day in America to honor those who serve or who have served our country. I am so thankful for all those (especially my husband) who are willing to serve to protect all those values we hold dear. I just want to take a minute and mention that Cards for Heroes is collecting cards for the service members so that they have cards to send home to their families when they cannot be with them. I created a card for the CCEE challenge today to send to them and I just wanted to pass along the info in case you were looking for an excellent way to support the troops with your hobby!

**********
Welcome to Gina K Designs Preview Day 1! Get ready for a week full of fantabulous previews of all the new sets that will be released at Gina K Designs on Thursday night! Today, the design team is working with the newest set from Melanie Muenchinger called Sporty Accessories--it is SUCH a great set that can be paired with her Just So Sporty set or used all on its own....

Here is my first card:

The banner and words, bat, glove and ball are all from the new set. I stamped them all on Gina K Pure Luxury cardstock, colored them with Copics and cut them out. I paired these images with the jersey from Just So Sporty to make a great birthday card for a baseball lover. (You can personalize it further by adding his jersey number too!) I framed the images by creating a score line with my Scor-Pal and then stamping the baseball border in grey.

This card also features some of the new digital paper that will be released on Thursday too. The red striped piece is from the Red Stars and Stripes and the Canvas background is from Summer Fabrics.
I love them all together!

Materials used: Stamps-Just So Sporty, Sporty Accessories (Gina K Designs); Memento black ink; Copic markers; grey ink (SU!); digital paper-Stars and Stripes, Summer Fabrics-digital downloads (Gina K Designs); Pure Luxury white cardstock (Gina K Designs); black brads (Making Memories); dimensional foam tape.

And here is another card I created with this set:

Heeeheee! I couldn't resist....sorry! These adorable converse sneakers are part of this set as well and I wanted to demonstrate that this set is NOT just for sport themes. Many of the images can be used for other fun card themes....

"U Stink"
"We Fit Like a Glove"
"Love You" with the bull horn
"Cheer Up" with pom poms and uniform...etc.

I found the leftover iron-on letter on my counter and thought it would go perfectly. I added on the "stink" part with JustRite Brayton Font.

Materials used: Stamps- Sporty Accessories (Gina K Designs); JustRite Brayton font; Memento black ink; cardstock-Pure Luxury (Gina K Designs); ribbon; stapler; designer paper- Frenzy-Whirl-White Out collection (We R Memory Keepers) ; notebook punch (SU!); slit punch (SU!); black marker (Copic).

If you would like to see some more fun stuff created with this set...just venture over to these amazing blogs:

Hop Around the Block with MFT

Hi everyone! Welcome to the My Favorite Things Hop Around the Block blog hop! If you want to start at the beginning of the hop, head on over to Kim's blog and follow the links.

Each month the design team kicks off the newest release with a fun blog hop. The new stamps that you see on this hop will be released on Wednesday night after the New Release Cocktail Party on Splitcoaststampers from 8-10 p.m. EASTERN.

This month I wanted to use the newest flopsey- Birthday Flopsey - for one of my hop cards. I just adore him!!!

Materials used: Stamps-Birthday Flopsey (My Favorite Things); Memento tuxedo black ink; Copic Markers; Perfect Paper panels (My Favorite Things); white cardstock - Gina K Pure Luxury; designer paper White Out (We R Memory Keepers); tag punch (SU!); star punch; corner rounder punch (Creative Memories); button (The Paper Studio); ric rac; hemp (SU!); foam mounting tape.

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo black ink on a Perfect Paper Panel and colored him with Copic markers. I pieced the cake and added some white gel pen icing. Instead of using the little candles that come with the set, I just punched out a star to stick on the top of the cake. I stamped the sentiment and punched it out with a tag punch.

For my next card, I decided to use the new WTG set--Girls Day In--in a different way. This set has two larger images (a girl getting a pedicure and a girl getting a manicure) and lots of other fun coordinating images and sentiments. But, every time I looked at the image of the girl getting a manicure, I kept envisioning an engagement ring on her hand.

So, for this card, I gave into my vision.....a fun wedding or engagement card:The girl and the sentiment are from the new set. I used part of the "Celebrate Yourself" sentiment. I drew an engagement ring on the image before cutting it out and paper piecing the dress. The girls robe is transformed into a wedding dress by simply wiping off a bit of the robe ink before I stamped. The beautiful paper is called Silver Lustre from PaperTemptress (see link on side bar.) I also used some fun tulle. I paired this set with Boho Blossoms and embossed the heart from this set for the background.

Materials used: Stamps- Girls Day In, Boho Blossoms (My Favorite Things); Memento tuxedo black ink; cardstock-white, black Pure luxury (Gina K Designs); Silver Lustre (PaperTemptress); rhinestones (the Paper Studio); tulle; corner rounder punch (Creative Memories); foam mounting tape; red embossing powder (Ranger); white embossing powder (SU!); Versamark; heat tool.
