Workout Journal

Hello!  Just wanted to share a little project to help keep me on track for my workouts this spring.  I found this $1 notepad at Michael's.  It had a big giant flower on the front, so I just altered it a bit to create a little journal to keep track of my workouts, running times/splits, etc.
I used some patterned paper/stickers from Bella Blvd, Stickers from SRM Stickers (Black Sticker Stitches, Express Yourself-Athlete) and  Serenity Diva stamp (Gina K Designs):
Here is the first page where I will attempt to list out my schedule.  I try to set days to actually go to the gym to lift/crosstrain because otherwise, I would just run everyday.  I have to plan it or I won't do it!
The following pages are where I will list my workouts and times.  Hopefully, seeing it all written down will keep me motivated.  I stamped the adorable Serenity Diva in the corner of this page. (Gotta make the book cute AND functional!)

Thanks for stopping by today!  Be sure to stop by tomorrow for a chance to win a huge collection of stamps!

Now...you KNOW I had to use that quote from Carole King on my card!  Funny enough, I about fainted when I saw this set as my older sisters used to sing this classic to me when I was younger.  I grew up with fond memories of this song long before my name was Carol King :)  And even without that memory...I LOVE this set so much.  I have several cards started with this set and this was the first one I finished.  Just so much fun to play with!

Head on over to the blogs below for more inspiring ideas using the new sets and dies:

The Twinery and Bella Blvd Project Showcase and Giveaway!

Hello! Welcome to the final day of the The Twinery & Bella Blvd Project Showcase that has been taking place all week at The Twinery blog and the Bella Blvd Blog.  Each day designers from each team have been showing their projects created with both products and the results are amazing.

Be sure to check over at the two company blogs to see all the designers' projects from each day!

Here is my project:
I created a little gift using a flower pot, some dowels and some chipboard to create a notepad:

I wrapped each dowel in baker's twine - Blossom and Shore-- and then attached the Bella Blvd chipboard elements (Sophisticates- Stars & Hearts) to the top. I added some more twine embellishing to the tops using Pink Sorbet and Shore.  I finished the heart dowel with the little Bella sweet Heart flag (Flag-Girl) :)

Here is the finished gift:

And here is a close up of the notepad.  I think this is a gift anyone can use.  I always keep a notepad in my purse to jot things down and I keep one by the computer for passwords, etc.  I designed this notepad for that purpose so I added the word "Remember" to the front of it.  The Bella Blvd paper is from Plastino-Bermudas and the label and stickers are from Plastino-Label Additions.  I added a little Bella Blvd button (Aqua flower) in the center, threaded with some Pink Sorbet baker's twine.  I used the Pink Sorbet to wrap around the clip as well:

Next, I just wanted to share this project that was on the SRM blog this week because it uses both Bella Blvd and The Twinery products.   I created a little photo cube using Bella Blvd. chipboard (Sophisticates- Stars & Hearts) and patterned paper (Plastino):

I used some Honeydew baker's twine to cover up the place where I cut the chipboard flower in order to attach the picture of my daughter.  I really don't think I make any projects anymore without at least a touch of twine. Sigh!

Giveaway:  And since everyone loves a giveaway----The Twinery is giving away 3 different 'Original Sampler' packs to 3 winners:

Basketball Mini Album

Hello! I am back from vacation :)   We had an awesome time despite the cold/rainy weather that plagued us in San Diego!  We did manage to get a few hours of sun here and there and had a really relaxing trip.  Today, I have a mini album on the SRM blog.

I used some Bella Blvd patterned paper (Making the Team) and TONS of SRM stickers to create it.  I used Helmar Acid Free Glue to adhere the paper to the chipboard.

Here are some pictures--I added some close ups here so you can see the detail a bit easier!

Home Sweet Home Inspiration

Hello!  Happy-whatever-day-it-is-today :P  I actually had some time this week and when I was looking over challenges for inspiration I came across the Moxie Fab World- Home Sweet Home Tuesday Trigger. Wow....I was instantly inspired by this house ornament:
Really inspired.  So inspired that I HAD to make a little house ornament :)  today.

I came up with my own design and I used some leftover fleece I had from a previous project and some fabric remnants.  I  folded the fleece in half (the fold is at the bottom so I didn't have to sew that part) and then cut out the sides and top in the shape of a house.  I decorated the front with fabric, felt, buttons, etc. and then flipped it inside out to sew the edges and stuff.   Here is what I came up with:

I kept the basic color theme and the fact that it is a house and went from there.  Created a cute little hanging house to display in my stamp room....or somewhere :)

Other supplies:
Sticker sentiments- Life is Good (SRM Stickers)
Dies- Fresh cut grass, Contempo Cage (bird) (My Favorite Things)
Vellum- The Paper Company
Baker's twine- Caribbean (The Twinery)

And....Since I am aware that I didn't follow the rules----I did create a PAPER crafted project that was inspired by the trigger as well:
Again, I was inspired by the colors and the house theme on this one...I definitely wanted to include the wood grain :)  I popped up the hand stitched heart with a Helmar Zapdot!  Love this quote and I thought it fit well with the house theme.

Supplies:
White cardstock- Gina K Designs
Patterned paper- Finally Fall: At the Patch (Bella Blvd), Little Boy: Rock Star; Playground: Red (Echo Park)
Sentiment stamp- Inkadinkado
Ink- markers-Red, black (SU!), Tea dye distress ink (Ranger)
Slit punch (SU!)
Dies- Homespun Dienamics (My Favorite Things)
Stick pin- Maya Road
Baker's twine- Honeydew (The Twinery)
Corrugated cardboard
Helmar Zapdots

That's it!  Hope you are inspired to play along!!! Click HERE to find out about all the challenge details!
